NO SOUND
If there is no sound output in TUNER function, repair the machine according to the instructions below.
IN FUNCTION TUNER
Solution
Check and replace IC202, TU101 on the motherboard.
How to Solve Problems (countermeasures)
1) Make sure TUNER_LR was inserted pin 1 and 3 of TU101 to IC202 (Pin23, 24).  If there is no signal, check for 3.3 V in Tuner voltage.  Make sure the Tuner control signals (CLK, DAT, CE, RST, GPO2) were inserted into the IC101 for TU101.
If not, replace the TUNER with a new one.
2) Make sure ADC_BCK, ADC_LRCK & DAC_MCLK were entered from IC501 to the IC202.
3) Make sure ADC_DATA was inserted from IC202 to the IC501.  If there is no signal, check for +5 V and +3.3 V (ADC) to the IC202. If Not Good, replace it with a new one.
4) Check the audio signal flow I2S the ic602 for IC501. If there are any problems, check the power for each IC. Foot is normal, but if the signal waveform to the IC is distorted or there is no sign, replace it with a new one.
5) Make sure that the AMP block digital audio is good. See tab "AMP AUDIO DIGITAL".  If AMP is damaged, replace it with a new one.

NO SOUND
If there is no sound output on the USB function, repair the machine according to the instructions below.
 THE USB FUNCTION
Solution
Check and replace the IC501, IC504 in the main and IC3U01 card into the USB adapter.
How to Solve Problems (countermeasures)
1) Check for +5 VU to USB card.  Check for 5.6 V Pin1, 2 in CN3U1.
2) Check USB D ± the main board to the USB board.
A. Check USB_HUB_DN / DP signals IC501 (Pin16, 18)
B. Check signal USB1 / 2_DN / DP IC504 of CN502 (Pin1, 2, 4 and 5).  If there are any problems, check the power for each IC. The power  is normal but, if the waveform signal to the IC is distorted or no signal exists, replace it with a new one.
3) Make sure the "AMP block of digital audio" in Item 6-3 is normal.
NO SOUND
If there is no sound output in the function DIGITAL AUDIO AMP DAMAGE, repair Apparatus according to the following instructions.

2) Check PVDD_50V.  If 50 V is abnormal, check the SMPS.
3) Check 12 for the operation of the IC AMP door.
A. All voltages are normal, but +12 V is low, there is the possibility of being damaged AMP IC.
B. Remove a ferrite bead between FB703, FB707 and FB713 one by one.
By removing the output choke if +12 V is recovered, it means the IC attached to it is damaged.
Replace the IC with a new one.
4) Check the impedance between SPK + and GND and SPK - and GND.
A. If the impedance is 0 Ω, the IC may have been damaged.
B. After removing the heat sink, replace it with a new one.
If an IC AMP among the three is damaged, "AMP_PDN" to R103 changes from HIGH to LOW at regular intervals.
The sound is not transmitted by turning off the AMP function.

GRUNDIG CUC 2033 - SMPS CIRCUIT - ALIGNEMENT PROCEDURE - Hotel Mode

GRUNDIG CUC 2033 – GRUNDIG CUC 2032 - Service Mode - Alignment
Hotel Mode
Activating the Hotel Mode
Call up the dialog line "Hotel" with button "6" via "DIALOG CENTER" –> "SERVICE" –> Service Code "8500".
With activated "Hotel Mode":
- it is no longer possible to call up the "DIALOG CENTER" menu with button "6".
- the last volume setting is stored as the maximum level possible.
Deactivating the Hotel Mode
Depress and hold button "i" on the remote control handset while switching the TV set on with the mains switch. Under the "SERVICE" menu switch the Hotel Mode off.
Deactivating the Protection Circuit
Depress and hold button "6" on the remote control handset while witching the TV set on with the mains switch. As long as the Service menu is displayed the protection circuit of the TV set is not evaluated on video processor IC34015-(50).
Setting the Analog Values
The analog values are stored automatically:
after about 8 seconds,
on switching to Standby mode,
on switching over from TV to AV mode,
on changing the individual AV settings.
Having stored the minimum volume level the volume indicator bar is displayed for about 10 seconds when switching the TV receiver on.  With "AUX" –> "OK" it is possible to re-set the optimum values for picture and sound.
The optimum values are read out from EEPROM IC82005.
Audio / Video Connectors
Re-recording possibilities:
AV 1 –> AV 2 (EURO-AV1 –> EURO-AV2 with 2 AV sockets)
AV 2 –> AV 1 (EURO-AV2 –> EURO-AV1 with 2 AV sockets)
AV 3 –> AV 1, AV2 (Camera –> EURO-AV1,2 with 2 AV sockets)
AV 2 –> AV 1 (Camera –> EURO-AV with 1 AV socket)
Re-recording is activated automatically by selecting button "0/AV" of the source.
Securing a re-recording:
A re-recording is secured by selecting the source with button "0 /AV" –> button "AUX" –> button "0/AV", indication "copy on". The program can be changed. The securing function can be cancelled by repeating this sequence: "Copying off".
Notes:
- Should all video signal paths be in use on selection of AV because Copy is active for example, this situation is identified and the TV switches over to the next technically possible AV position.
- On selection of the country Italy in the menu, an AV-RGB signal with blanking signal (Pin 16) has priority.
- The blue screen background does not appear in all AV settings.
Changing the Picture Format
In AV mode, the picture format can be switched over with remote control button " " in dependence of the size of the picture tube.
The picture formate is changed between 4:3 and 16:9 in AV mode and on the program position with Peribit.
This status is indicated by the switching voltage applied to pin 8 of the AV 1 and AV 2 socket.
- 4:3 format 12V
- 16:9 format 6V
Necessary for 16:9 camcorder playback to compensate for the vertical extension because supply of the 16:9 switching voltage is not provided.
1. After any repair or replacement of NVM (IC82005) check whether the NTSC 3.58MHz quartz is fitted. If it is not, the dialog line "NTSC 3,6" in the Service Menu must be set to "off".
Button "i" –> "OK" –> "SERVICE" –> "OK" –> Service Code "8500" –> NTSC 3,6 "off" and in dialog line "End" store the setting "with mem.".
2. When no SAT Receiver (SER 250) is built in, SAT in the Service Menu is to be set to "off".
Button "6" –> "OK" –> "SERVICE" –> "OK", select dialog line "SAT" and switch to "off".
All adjustment controls not mentioned in this description are pre-set at the factory and must not be re-adjusted in the case of repairs.
Service works after replacement or repair of the following modules:
- Power supply:
alignment 1
- Tuner: alignment 2
- NVM IC82005: alignment 2…8, 11
- Horizontal and vertical deflection and replaced picture tube: alignment 10…12
- Bridge Coil L53074: only necessary in the case of inexpert manipulation of the horizontal deflection: alignment 9
