After replacing the memory IC, set the remote control code. If it has't done, the set will not operate with remote control.
If you do not replace the memory ic, go to service mode directly as described below
REMOTE CONTROL CODE SETTING METHOD.
[Use PTU94023BJIG remote control]
Setup jig remote control unit.
* Turn ON the power switch on the front panel of the TV, and then TV goes to standby mode.
** Enter the 'customm code' [14] and 'Data code [15] by the remote control.
*** Enter the 'Custom code' [14 and 'Data Code [74], by the jig remote control and enter the [Transfer] key. The TV will Power On.
**** Enter the 'Custom Code [14] and 'Data Code[74], and then enter the 'Transfer' key to enter the service mode. After entering the service mode "SERVICE" OR "SVC v1", will appear on the sft upper corner of the screen.
***** Enter 'custom Code' [14], and 'Data code [22]. Enter the 'Transfer key'. "REMOCON" menu changes down from "DW" to "JVC", so that the remote control code will be set JVC.
IF THE "REMOCON" MENU SETS "DW" OR "AIWA" THE TV WILL SET TO OTHER CODES. iT MUST BE SET TO "JVC".
****** Enter the 'Custom Code [14], and 'Data Code' [22], and enter the transfer key. [Tv power swill shut down]
JVC remote control will work properly, when you finish all the above.
SETUP OF JIG REMOTE CONTROL[PTU94023B], AND TRANSFER OF CONTROL CODES.
* Remove the battery cover
** Set the battery, whilesimoultaneously pressing the <4,5 and 6> keys together.
*** Enter the custom code. To select the custom code, use <+ / -> keys.
**** Enter the Data code. For selecting the data code, use the <+ / -> keys, or directly input a data code with <0> for <F> keys.
***** Press the transfer key to transfer data.
SERVICE MENU.
*To enter the service menu, Press the 'Muting" key and "Recall" key on the remote control simoultaneously.
** To exit from the service menu, turn OFF the power switch at the front panel of the TV.
*** To call an item to adjust, use "Prog Up" and "Prog Dn" keys.
**** To adjust the data value of the selected item, use "< or >" keys
***** Turn the power switch OFF to save the adjusted settings and to exit from service mode.
