TO ENTER FACTORY DIAGNOSTIC MODE

GEMSTAR [4] MODELS (MONO SETS)

• Press "Menu" button on the remote control.
• Press digit [6] on the remote control (TV Guide + Menu option).
• Press digit [1] on the remote control (Guide + Setup Button).
• Press 'Go-Back' on remote.
• Press 'Info" on remote.  Set begins testing procedure.
• Press 'Clear' to Exit test.

GEMSTAR [4] MODELS (STEREO SETS)

1. Press "Menu" button on the remote.
2. Press digit [7] button on the remote. (TV Guide+ Menu Option).
3. Press digit [1] on remote.  (Guide Plus + Setup option).
4. Press 'Go-Back' on remote.
5. Press 'Info' on remote.  Set begins testing procedure.
6. Press "Clear" to Exit test.

ALL OTHER GUIDE + MODELS (MONO SETS)

• Press 'Menu' on remote.
• Press digit [7] on remote. (TV Guide+ Menu Option).
• Press digit [1] on remote. ( Guide Plus + Setup Option).
• Press 'Go Back' on remote.
• Press "TV' on remote.  Set begins testing procedure.
• Press "Clear" to exit.
• The unit must be setup again and allowed to obtain a complete download.  The downlaod test tape can be used to test the system.

FACTORY DIAGNOSTIC TEST 'DOES NOT CLEAR' THE CHANNEL MAP OR PROGRAM LISTING  FROM THE MODULE.
