These TV models "do not" contain a self diagnostic function.
If an error occurs, whatever it may be, the TV will not stay ON. Therefore it is recommended that if a repair is required for these model TV sets, the technician should have both 'A' board and the 'Power Unit Board' of same part number should be with him to perform repair.
It will be best to get this set repaired by any authorized service center for Sony, or by any local technician who have both the above mentioned bards with him at the time of repair.

TO ENTER SERVICE MODE [[remote control unit RM-ED014]]
- Turn ON the Power to the TV.
- Press [(i+) > 5 > Vol(+) > TV|Power] buttons on the remote control in sequence.
- Service menu will be displayed.
- To select an item to adjust, use 'Up' / 'Dn' button on the remote control.
- Press 'Right Arrow' button to enter into the required menu item.
- To adjust the data value to selected item, use 'Up' / 'Dn' button on the remote control.
- To go back to any item, use 'Left Arrow' button on the remote control.
- To "Exit' service mode, press 'RED' button or 'MENU' button on the remote control.
- After carrying out the service adjustments, to prevent the customer accessing the 'service menu' switch the TV set OFF and then ON again by its main Power Switch.
