INSTALL FOR WRITING TOOLS
- Set the MICOM UPDATE TOOL DISC (JG204) to PC.
INSTALL LPT DRIVER
Note: It is necessary to install according to PC:
- Wndows 95/98: Setup_LptDrv_v0104_9x.exe
- Windows 2000/XP: Setup_LptDrvDev_v020201_XP_2000.exe
- Windows NT: Setup_LptDrv_v0104_NT.exe
- Reboot the PC.
- Install the "Setup_Visual_12C_v3-2-3b8h.exe", "Setup_V12C for_VCT_Pro_v0101.exe" and "Winupload 4.4.3.exe"
RE-WRITE FOR DIGITAL SOFT FIRMWARE.
Before update the digital soft firmware, it is necessary to install the 'Writing Tools' into PC.
- Unplug the AC cord and remove the back cabinet.
- Using the Serial Communication Change JIG (JG198) and RS-232 cable, connect the PC terminal and UART connector (CP2402) on the DIITAL PCB Ass'y.
- Connect it in order of Digital PCB --> Serial Communication Change JIG[JG198] --> RS-232 Cable --> PC.

- Insert the AC cord, turn On Power.
- Press both 'Volume Down' button on the TV set, and 'Channel-2' button on the remote control for more than 2 seconds. Confirm that displayed software version.
- Set the Standby Mode.
- Set the DTV ROM DISC(JG176) to PC.
- Start the 'Winupload" (Writing Tool)
- Select the Port Setting from Process Menu, then set it as follows.
- Select the "Connect" from File Menu.
- Select the "Upload" from Process Menu, and select the software (CB00C75091.urt) in DTV ROM DISC (JG 176)
- Unplug AC cord on the set, then plug it again.
- Turn On Power. The following window will appear, Up-date for Software will start. "Uploading in progress" bar will begin to move.
- When the 'Uploading in progress" bar reaches at right edge, the Writing for Digital Soft Firmware will start. During the writing of Digital soft Firmware, writing message will appear on the screen. Finish the writing for Digital Soft Firmware, writing message will disappear.
- Unplug AC cord, and remove the Serial Communication Change.
- Insert the AC cor again.
- After the write, to set to initializing of shipping.
- Turn On the Power
- Press bothe 'Volume Dn' button on the TV set, and 'Channel-1' button on the remote control for 2 seconds. The set will turn to Standby mode.
CHECK FOR FIRMWARE VERSION.
- Turn On Power.
- Press both "Volume Dn" button on the TV, and "Channel-2" button on the remote control for 2 seconds.
- Select the "Disconnect" from File Menu.
