CHANGE OVER THE AM TUNING INTERVAL
AM tuning interval can be changed over 9 KHz or 10 kHz.
- Press the [Power] button to turn Power ON.
- Press [Function] button to select Tuner AM function.
- Press [Power] button again to turn the Power OFF (Standby).
- After pressing the [Display] button, while pressing the {Tuning + >> >>| } button, press [Power] button.
- It turns Power On, and display "9k STEP" or "10k STEP", and thus the tuning interval is changed over.
CD SHIP MODE
This mode can run the CD Sled Motor optionally. Use this mode, for instance, when cleaning the optical pickup.
- Press the [Power] button to turn power ON.
- Confirm there is no disc in all the tray.
- Press [Function] button to select CD function.
- Press two buttons [ >|| ] & [Power] button simultaneously.
- Set to the CD ship mode (chucking on).
- After blink, "STANDBY", "LOCK" is displayed, disconnect AC plug.
CD SHIP AND COLD RESET
- Press [Power] button to turn power ON.
- Confirm there is no disc in all trays.
- Press [Function] button to select CD function.
- Press three buttons of [CD], { --TUNING |<< << } and [Power] button simultaneously.
- After blink, "STANDBY", "RESET" is displayed, disconnect AC plug.
CD SERVO TEST MODE
This mode can check the servo system operations of optical pickup system [ = optical unit + BD74 board)

## Do not enter any other test mode while this mode is in progress.
- Press [Power] button to turn the Power ON.
- Press [Function] button to select CD function.
- Press three buttons of { >|| }, [Tuning + >> >> } & [Power] simultaneously.
- It enters the CD servo test mode and displays "xx xxxx"
TO EXIT FROM THE CD SERVO TEST MODE
- Press three buttons of [ >| ], [Tuning + >> >> ] & [Power] simultaneously.
- It releases from the CD servo Test Mode and returns to the ordinary CD function.
CD SERVICE MODE
This mode can move the Sled of the optical pickup, and also can turn the optical pickup Laser Power On | Off.
- Press [Power] button to turn power ON.
- Press three buttons of { >>| }, [Enter] & [Power] simultaneously.
- Press the [Function] button to select CD function.
- It enters the CD service mode and displays "SErVICE"
- To release from this mode, press three buttons of { >|| }, [Enter] & [Power] simultaneously.
Key Operations in Service Mode
- {TUNING + >> >>| }, {-- TUNING |<< << }: Use these keys to move the SLED. When {TUNING + >> >>| } is pressed in this mode, the Sled moves to outer circumference and the message 'SLED OUT' is displayed.
- When { -- TUNNING |<< << } is pressed in this mode, the Sled moves to inner circumference and the message 'SLED IN' is displayed.
[CD]:
Use this key to turn the optical pickup laser power On | Off. When the Laser Power is turned ON, the message "LD ON" is displayed. When the Laser power is turned Off, the message "LD OFF' is displayed.
CD FACTORY MODE
# Do not enter this mode while any other test mode is in progress.
## Do not enter any other test mode while this mode is in progress.
- Press [Power] button to the turn the power ON.
- Press [Function] button to select CD function.
- Press three buttons of { >|| }, {USB} & {Power} simultaneously.
- It enters the CD factory mode, and the message "FACTORY" is displayed. When the 'CD' button is pressed four times, the following message (initial display) is displayed.

___ ___ => RF gain settings.
ON => Tracking servo setting.
S => S character mode setting.
Key Operation:
{CD}
The display changes in the following order whenever the button [CD] is pressed.
{Initial Display => FSCAG** (Focus AGC Value) => TRKAG** (Track AGC value) => RF_AG (RF AGC value)
{USB}
Tracking servo setting changes whenever the button is pressed.
"ON" => Tracking servo ON.
"OFF" => Tracking servo OFF.
{FUNCTION}
S character mode setting changes whenever the button is pressed.
" ": S character mode Off.
"S": S character mode On.
To release from this mode, press three buttons of { >|| }, {USB} & [Power] simultaneously.
