1. Before activating service mode, supply appropriate test picture. Set brightness, contrast, colour, contour and tone to medium values.
2. For geometry alignment a 4:3 test picture conforming to standards is required.
3. For 16:9 TV-sets a 4:3 test picture must be adjusted to a full-covering picture in panorama-mode.

TO ENTER SERVICE MODE

• To enter service-mode press[ MUTE => Red key and EXIT] keys consecutively on the remote control (RC), while TV is running.

SERVICE MODE SETTINGS

• Version number:   shows the implemented software version.  For new initialisation of the NVM values, without changing the geometry settings, change the version number, save, exit service mode and switch the TV-set off and on again.

NVM reset:   initializes all NVM values of the Eeprom IC906 including geometry values.

Set value to ON, save, exit service mode and switch the TV-set off and on again.

Prior to the initialization it´s helpful to write the service mode parameter values into the alignment table.

After initialization all service-mode settings have to be checked and readjusted if necessary.

MENU TABLE - 1

• Picture size:   4:3 or 16:9 picture tube (value is set automatically when picture tube type is changed) 
• Picture tube:   type of the picture tube.

Attention: Change this only, if is absolutely necessary. All picture tube related values will be changed automatically. If the right type of the picture tube is not available, select “USER PICTUBE” and set all parameters manually.

• TV – type::   standard B/G, I or multi tuner - type e.g. 313A Multi
• Front – av::   ON / OFF
• Scart number:: number of scart interfaces
• Forced PAL::  ON, if PAL TV-type
• Function keys::  1-4 (number of the F-keys on the remote control)
• VT pages ::  number of teletext memory pages
• Display mode ::  set to OFF (only for production).
• Test-pattern OFF :: or one of the different internal test pictures can be chosen.
• Auto. Format :: ON / OFF automatic format switching from 4:3 to 16:9 active or not.

• Sleep timer (5min) ::  ON / OFF On: if there is no incoming signal for more than 5 minutes TV-set is automatically switched to standby-mode.
• ECO switch :: set to ON for units with ECO switch
• Child lock-code global :: ON / OFF

OFF: During automatic channel search all channels are set to free access. Channels which should be child-locked afterwards have to be set manually.

ON: During automatic channel search all channels are prepared for a possible activation of the childproof lock. Channels which should not be locked, afterwards have to be unlocked manually.

• Child lock-code reset :: OFF / ON to reset of the childproof lock-code, set value to ON, save, exit service mode and power off/on TV-set.
• Audio VCR mute ::  audio mute for VCR
• VT brightness :: teletext brightness
• VT contrast ::  teletext contrast
• OSD brightness :: OSD brightness
• OSD contrast :: OSD contrast
• OSD backgr. Color :: OSD background color
• OSD foregr. Color :: OSD font color
• VGA modus :: ON / OFF
• VPS/PDC display :: ON / OFF On: Channel identification can be shown by pressing the »yellow« key.
• Rotation :: ON / OFF picture rotation (option)

• Mode analog channel 2 :: OFF / AUTO / SENSOR / KEYS for TV sets without panel keys chose SENSOR, with panel keys: AUTO
• Display values :: ON / OFF OSD: numbers or bars to show the actual value
• Ext.scart :: set to 1 (for actual scart module)
• Waterglass/panorama :: ON / OFF activate / deactivate special picture effects (Effect 1+2)
• Low power standby :: ON / OFF option depending on chassis-version.

Vertical bow :: adjust straightening of vertical lines.

Vertical angle :: adjust inclination of vertical lines

Horizontal position :: adjust horizontal image position.

Horizontal amplitude :: adjust image width.

Cushion :: adjust Pincushion (East/West-cushion).

Trapeze :: Set the vertical lines parallel.

Upper corner :: adjust vertical lines in the upper corners.

Upper corner 6^th :: adjust vertical lines in the very upper corners.

Lower corner :: adjust vertical lines in the lower corners.

Lower corner 6^th :: adjust vertical lines in the very lower corners.

Blanking phase left :: to adjust horizontal blanking phase on the left picture side (default value 170)

Blanking phase right :: to adjust horizontal blanking phase on the right picture side (default value 1210)

Chroma delay :: to adjust chroma to luma signal (just one value for all signals and sources).

Luma delay PAL :: to adjust luma to chroma signal on PAL picture (Luma delay PAL on tuner and scart are independent, adjust both of them).

Luma delay SECAM :: to adjust luma to chroma signal on SECAM picture (Luma delay SECAM on tuner and scart are independent, adjust both of them).

Luma delay NTSC :: to adjust luma to chroma signal on NTSC picture (just available on scart input).

DVCO :: The auxiliary colour carrier frequency automatically adjusts to its reference value. (read only value)

G2 ::  G2 adjustment [Screen Voltage Adjustment]

Cut off :: cut off / white drive.

SVM G1 :: adjust to optimised sharpness. (default value 45)

SVM delay :: adjust to optimised sharpness (default value 7)

Beam current limiter :: not active

Vert. pos OSD :: adjust vertical position of OSD.

Hor. pos OSD :: adjust horizontal pos. of OSD.

Vert. pos OSD (NTSC) :: adjust vertical position of OSD with NTSC standard.

Hor. pos OSD (NTSC) :: adjust horizontal position of OSD with NTSC standard.

Vert. pos VT :: adjust vertical position of teletext.

Vor. pos VT :: adjust the horizontal position of teletext.

Child lock reset :: to deactivate the child lock, set value to 1, save and exit service mode and switch off TV-set. After switching on the mains switch again, the childproof lock is switched off.

Border (16:9) right :: setting of the black border on the right side of 4:3 format and Zoom format (for 16:9 picture tubes only).

border (16:9) left :: setting of the black border on the left side of 4:3 format and Zoom format (for 16:9 picture tubes only).

## NVM addr. 0000 data 00 :: With the »Red« key of the remote control, individual numbers of the NVM address and the data can be chosen and changed with ◄ / ► keys. The complete address is a four-digit figure and the corresponding data is a two-digit figure. To activate a change, the key "OK" must be pressed and the TV set must be switched off and on again.

Attention: The changing of unknown addresses can cause serious errors
