Turn on power, pull out the power cord, press the Menu button, and then plug the power cord, that will Auto adjust the picture to default. 
At the same time the factory OSD will be at the left top of the panel.
Bias adjustment
Set the Contrast to 50;  Brightness to 80.
Gain adjustment
Move cursor to “-F-” and press MENU key
Adjust 7800k color-temperature
1Select the “AUTO LEVEL” option to auto adjust the picture to default,
2Press “MENU” button, adjust 7800K color-temperature and the parameter is x = 296 ±20, y = 311 ±20, Y = 180 ±10 cd/m2
Adjust 6500k color-temperature
1Select the “AUTO LEVEL” option to auto adjust the picture to default,
2Press “MENU” button, adjust 6500K color-temperature and the parameter is x = 313 ±20, y = 329 ±20, Y = 180 ±10 cd/m2
Turn off the Power-button to quit from factory mode.

ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE (Entering and cancel the adjustment process mode)
1 While holding down the INPUT and Volume DOWN keys at the same time, plug in the AC cord to turn on the power. (“K” standing for inspection process mode is displayed on the upper left position of the screen.)
2 Press the Channel DOWN and Volume DOWN keys at the same time. (The adjustment process mode screen appears.)
3 To cancel it, turn off the power using the Power switch or remote control.
Remote controller key operation and description of display in adjustment process mode.
Software upgrading.
1 Plug off the LCD TV.
2 Insert the USB device to the USB terminal at the LCD TV.  (Make sure that the latest software is installed in the USB device).
3 Hold the LCD TV power key and plug on the LCD TV.
4 LCD TV is on and detecting the USB device.
5 A few seconds later, LED light (orange) will blink indicating the software upgrading.
7 T V will automatically restart when software is successfully installed
8 LCD TV is running with the latest software.
FACTORY SETTING
AC power is plug off after shipment setting is done.
Caution:
Do not plug on again after shipment setting is done. If do, please re-do the shipment setting.  Do not Power off with remote control.

PIONEER PLASMA TV - Scan Board & IC Troubleshooting - Scan IC replacement procedure

Scan Board & IC Troubleshooting Pioneer Plamsa TV _ Scan IC Removal & Re-installation _ Pioneer Plasma TV
Almost all plasma displays will have same circuit configuration; irrespective of its brand name.
  First determine which scan board has the problem by doing a diode check between VH and GNDH after disconnecting the ribbon cable between the Y drive and the upper and lower scan assembly.  To some panels, you have to remove the blue glue by using flux remover or acetone. Measure between the output pins of the scan ICs and the bus bar on the scan board using either an analogue meter or a digital meter in manual mode.  All outputs on all scan ICs should measure about the same resistance [between 300 to 600Ohms].  If not, that IC is defective.  Remove it and then re-check VH.  There can be more than one bad scan IC.
Checking drives and Scan ICs.
  Do not operate with any connectors unplugged.  Replacing scan ICs in home is not recommended.  If scan board is disconnected, be sure to isolate buss bar also.  Discharge all scan board connections including buss before reconnecting.  Unplug power connector from the X or Y drive.  Perform diode check with DVM from Vsus to ground.  Should check as a diode.  If Y drvie is horted, next unplug scan PCBs.  If short goes away, check scan ICs.  If still shorted, replace the drive.
With scan PCB unplugged, perform diode check from Vh to Psus [bus bar].  Should check as a diode.  Ifg shorted, check the resistance from Vh and Gndh [buss bar] to HVxxx (each IC has 2 test pads).  Should measure 3 to 5 Meg Ohms.  Remove IC that measures different from other and recheck.  If all check is the same, but Vh is still shorted, check all 64HV pins of each IC.  Remove side rail, and 32 feed throughs are accessible near the panel connection.  If nothing shows up, loosen Scan PCB and flip over to access all 64 connections.
How to replace the SCAN ICs
There are two methods
With a nozzle type soldering station
With the CHIPQUICK SMD1 removal kit
With nozzle type disordering station
Mount the right type of nozzle.
Add solder to all pins of the defective SCAN IC
Heat up all pins with the nozzle. When solder reflows, remove IC with pick up tool.
Remove IC and clean PCB. Check PCB for damaged patterns and short-circuits.
Once the IC is positioned, tip it diagonal so it cannot move anymore.  Solder two opposite corners.
Solder all pins and check very carefully for dry joints or short circuits.
With Chipquick
Another way to remove SMDs is with a special solder made by Chip Quik.The solder is an alloy of tin, lead, indium, and bismuth. Bismuth has a very low thermal conductivity. If it is mixed with tin, the melting point is reduced to 65°C. and so it becomes difficult to damage the PCB . Another advantage is that there is no additional desolder equipment required.  It can be ordered with part number SMD1. This package contains chipquick flux , chipquick solder and alcohol pads.
Apply flux to all pins of the defective SCAN IC.
Adjust the temperature of the solder iron to +/- 200°C and melt CHIPQUICK alloy uniformly on all pins.
Maintain the alloy in molten state and remove the SCAN IC with a pick - up tool.
Move the excess with the solder iron to an unused section of the PCB.  Remove after it is cooled down.
Clean site with swab dipped in flux while applying heat.
At room temperature, clean the residue with alcohol pad.
PCB is ready to mount the new SCAN IC
How to remove the coating of SCAN IC.
Peel the coating a little at the lower left corner of the SCAN IC which has rather more coating. (be careful not to damage the pattern.)
Make a notch at the peeled coating.
Pick up the peeled coating by tweezers, and wind them around the point of the tweezers while rotating tweezers.
Peel off the coating while rotating tweezers along the SCAN IC After all the coating around the SCAN IC is peeled off continue.
After removing the larger portion of blue glue with a pair of tweezers, spray the IC pins with flux remover and scrub with soft brush.  Let stand and repeat several times to remove and soften the glue under the IC.
When positive all blue glue has been removed from the leads and underside, proceed to the removal steps. [Glue not removed from the IC pins or underneath chip could result in a damaged PC board at the time of IC removal.]

d. When the cursor move to a certain adjust item, press and to adjust value;
e. Press “MENU” to exit to the previous factory menu;
f. Press “EXIT” to exit the factory menu;
g. After exit the factory menu, press “SLEEP” to enter the factory menu again as long as power on.

White balance adjustment:
  Enter the factory menu Color Temp, set Color Mode to Cool first, a 11-step gray scale picture will appear, fix Gain Green, adjust Gain Red, Gain Blue to let the color coordinate of the ninth level to be (285, 293); fix Offset Green, adjust Offset Red, Offset Blue to let the color coordinate of the third level to be (285, 293). Adjust Gain Red, Gain Blue, Offset Red and Offset Blue repeatedly until the value of the two levels gray scale are (285, 293) then press MENU to return to the previous menu or press Save to EEPROM to store the value.  Check if the color temperatures of Normal and Warm are up to the mustard, if not, adjust Gain Red, Gain Blue, Offset Red and Offset Blue till they are accord with the requirement.
DTV adjustment (same for HDMI)
  Select the 26 channel in AIR mode, enter the factory menu Color Temp, set Color Mode to Cool first, a 11-step gray scale picture will appear, fix Gain Green, adjust Gain Red, Gain Blue to let the color coordinate of the ninth level to be (285, 293); fix Offset Green, adjust Offset Red, Offset Blue to let the color coordinate of the third level to be (285, 293). then press MENU to return to the previous menu or press Save to EEPROM to store the value.  Check if the color temperatures of Normal and Warm are up to the mustard, if not, adjust Gain Red, Gain Blue, Offset Red and Offset Blue till they are accord with the requirement.
YPbPr adjustment
  DADC correction: Input 480i/60Hz signal of 75% color bar and gray scale to YPbPr (VG848 Timing 968, Pattern 918), enter the factory menu ADC Setting and perform ADC Auto.  White balance adjustment: input 1920x1080I/60Hz of 8-level gray scale signal to YPbPr from VG848 YPbPr channel, enter the factory menu Color Temp, set Color Mode to Cool first, fix Gain Green, adjust Gain Red, Gain Blue to let the color coordinate of the seventh level to be (285, 293); fix Offset Green, adjust Offset Red, Offset Blue to let the color coordinate of the second level to be (285, 293). Adjust Gain Red, Gain Blue, Offset Red and Offset Blue repeatedly until the value of the two levels gray scale are (285, 293) then press MENU to return to the previous menu or press Save
to EEPROM to store the value.  Check if the color temperatures of Normal and Warm are up to the mustard, if not, adjust Gain Red, Gain Blue, OffsVGA adjustment ADC correction: Input VESA 800x600/60Hz signal of chess to VGA (VG848 Timing 854, Pattern 914), enter the user menu ADVANCED and perform AUTO to display the whole picture, enter the factory menu ADC setting and perform ADC Auto to correct ADC.  White balance adjustment: input 800x600I/60Hz of 8-level gray scale signal to VGA from VG848 VGA channel, enter the factory menu Color Temp, set Color Mode to Cool first, fix Gain Green, adjust Gain Red, Gain Blue to let the color coordinate of the seventh level to be (285, 293); fix Offset Green, adjust Offset Red, Offset Blue to let the color coordinate of the second level to be (285, 293). Adjust Gain Red, Gain Blue, Offset Red and Offset Blue repeatedly until the value of the two levels gray scale are (285, 293) then press MENU to return to the previous menu or press Save to EEPROM to store the value.  Check if the color temperatures of Normal and Warm are up to the mustard, if not, adjust Gain Red, Gain Blue, Offset Red and Offset Blue till they are accord with the requirement Red and Offset Blue till they are accord with the requirement.
ATV adjustment (same for AV, S-VIDEO)
DVD AGC Gain correction
 Select the 21 channel in AIR mode, enter factory menu VD AGC Setting and select VD AGC Gain, press  ► till display “OK”, then press “MENU” to return to the previous menu presetting before ex-factory
Enter the factory menu and select Shipment, the unit will preset the data automatically. Perform the step after factory menu adjustment. SHIPMENT will perform the steps below:
1 Clear the program information of the channel
2 Clear VCHIP information
3 Default setting of user analog
4 Set Menu Language to English
5 Set AIR/CABLE to AIR
6 Power on mode is Off
AGC Description
  The AGC has two modes of operation. When the chip is powered up, the non-coherent IF AGC & RF AGC will function first. The non-coherent AGC loop will provide the control voltage necessary for proper gain control of the external gain amplifier and tuner in the RF section. The two AGC will extend the dynamic range of power amplifier. It automatically adjusts itself to any system with a matched filter. The automatic gain controller (AGC) takes the input data stream from either the ADC output or the DC remover output, and applies non-coherent detection of the gain level, and adjusts it to a pre-configured reference level.  The two AGC work exclusively in parallel; there is the AGC that feeds its output to the IF amplifier, and the AGC that outputs to the tuner amplifier. The AGC also support manual mode, where one is fixed to a pre-configured level, while the other performs normal AGC functions.
General Troubleshooting
Picture is out of focus or jumping
Bad status in signal receiving
Poor signal
Check if there are failures with the electrical connector or the antenna.
Check if the antenna is properly connected.
Fringe in picture
Check if the antenna is correctly oriented.
Maybe there is electric wave reflected from hilltop or building.
Picture is interfered by stripe shaped bright spots
Possibly due to interference from automobile, train, high voltage transmission line, neon lamp etc.
Maybe there is interference between antenna and power supply line. Please try to separate them in a longer distance.
Maybe the shielded-layer of signal wire is not connected properly to the connector.
There appear streaks or light color on the screen
Check if interfered by other equipment and if interfered possibly by the equipment like transmitting antenna, non-professional radio station and cellular phone.
Unable to switch the power on
Check to see if the power plug has been inserted properly into the socket.
If yes, check and replace damaged component/s at the main power regulator [SMPS] board.  If needy, replace this board as card basis.
No picture and sound.
Check to see if the power supply of liquid crystal TV has been switched on. (As can be indicated by the red LED at the front of the TV set)
See if it’s receiving the signal that is transmitted from other source than the station
Check if it’s connected to the wrong terminal or if the input mode is correct.
Check if the signal cable connection between video frequency source and the liquid crystal TV set is correct.
Deterioration of color phase or color tone
Check if all the picture setups have been corrected.
Screen position or size is not proper
Check is the screen position and size is correctly set up.
Picture is twisted and deformed
Check to see if the picture-frame ratio is properly set up.
Picture color changed or colorless
Check the “Component” or “RGB” settings of the liquid crystal TV set and make proper adjustment according to the signal types.
Picture too bright and there is distortion in the brightest area
Check if the contrast setting is too high.
Possibly the output quality of DVD broadcaster is set too high.
It maybe also due to improper terminal connection of the video frequency signal in a certain position of the system.
Picture is whitish or too bright in the darkest area of the picture
Check if the setting for the brightness is too high
Possibly the brightness grade of DVD player (broadcaster) is set too high
No picture or signal produced from the displayer if XXX in search” appears
Check if the cable is disconnected.
Check if it’s connected to the proper terminal or if the input mode is correct.
There appears an indication - outside the receivable scope
Check if the TV set can receive input signal. The signal is not correctly identified and VGA format is beyond the specified scope
Remote control cannot work properly
Check if the batteries are installed in the reverse order.
Check if the battery is effective.
Check the distance or angle from the monitor.
Check if there is any obstruct between the remote control and the TV set.
Check if the remote control signal- receiving window is exposed to strong fluorescence.
No picture and sound, but only hash
Check if the antenna cable is correctly connected, or if it has received the video signal correctly
Blur picture
Check if the antenna cable is correctly connected.
Of if it has received the right video signal.
No sound
Check if the “mute” audio frequency setting is selected.
Check if the sound volume is set to minimum.
Make sure the earphone is not connected.
Check if the cable connection is loose.
Check speaker/s.
Check and replace damaged component/s at the audio output section circuit.
When playing VHS picture search tape, there are lines at the top or bottom of the picture.
When being played or in pause VHS picture search tape sometimes can’t provide stable picture, which may lead to incorrect display of the liquid crystal TV, In this case press “auto” key on the remote control so as to enable the liquid crystal TV set to recheck the signal and then to display correct picture signal.

Electrolux EWFH12280 – EWM2100HEC Front-loader Washing Machine – Disassembly

Reassembling the frame and removable top, Heater, Fan, Thermostats, Power board & Display board 

After the intervention, position the upper frame parallel to the base as represented in figure, paying attention that the joints in the front part are perfectly aligned.
Push downwards the upper frame till the “clack” of each hook that enters its seat is heard.
Insert the removable top guides into those of the base.
Push the removable top inside the drying top.  Extract it again and check that the slipping is regular and it stops when it reaches the limit stop.
Lift the top.
Pay attention not to damage the wiring of the display board
Extract the wiring from the hook.
Place the top on the right side of the top.
Rotate the top and position it on the removable top, putting some protections to avoid scratching the varnished parts.
Heater
After removing the fixed top, remove the wiring.
Remove the three screws which secure the conveyor.
Move it inside the drying top.
Lift the front part of the conveyor.
Lift and rotate outwards.
Detach the connectors and the ground wire.
Remove the screws which fit the heater to the conveyor and remove it.
While reassembling, repeat the same operations in opposite order.
Fan
After removing: The fixed top & The heater
Detach the connectors of the stator and the ground wire.
Remove the screw which fits it at the bottom (note the position of the catch on the fan).
Move the fan following the direction of the arrow (see the movement of the fan compared to the catch).
Lift the fan from the motor part and remove it (see the arrow direction).
While reassembling repeat the same operations in opposite order.
Thermostats & NTC
The intervention to the thermostats can be divided in two operations:
For the replacement it is necessary to carry out the two phases below described.
If it is necessary only to push the button to activate them again, see the second phase.
First phase: inside the drying top
After removing:
The fixed top
The heater

Remove the four screws which secure the lower display.
To replace the thermostat, unscrew the relative screws which secure it to the bottom.
Second phase: inside the drying top
To remove the top, unscrew the two screws which secure it to the washing machine and push the top towards the rear part, as a normal work top.
Lift the top, so it is possible to remove the connectors from the thermostat.
NTC
To remove the top, unscrew the two screws which secure it to the washing machine and push it towards the rear part, as a normal work top.
Lift the top, so it is possible to unscrew the screws which secure it to the bottom and extract the connectors from the terminals.
Power board
The power board is inserted in a casing fixed with screws to the external part of the bottom.
Remove the two screws which secure the top to the washing machine, push it towards the rear part.
Lift the top, so it is possible to remove the connector which powers the top and to slide off the dra in hose.
Remove the two screws which secure the cover.
[Before operating on the electronic board, discharge yourself from the electrostatic electricity, so as not to damage the electronic components.]
Release the two hooks which secure the board to the casing.
Remove it.
Rotate it on itself.
Position it as in figure
While removing the connectors from the wiring pay attention:
To the connector of the flat cable of the display board, for its dimensions.
For the connector of the NTC sensor, push the lever which secures it to the board.
Display board
Remove the wiring from the power board and extract it.
Remove the hooks which secure it to the
frame, paying attention not to break them.
Remove the three screws which secure it to the frame.

DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM
Access to diagnostics
Switch off the appliance removing the plug from the socket.
Insert the plug into the socket and within two seconds push the buttons simultaneously. PL2 and PL4.
The diagnostic cycle starts:
checking all LEDs (switching on each LED for 0.5”)
checking the buzzer with a long BEEP

If the diagnostic cycle does not identify any faulty component, all LEDs light up till the end of the test and the buttons and the relays are now checked.  If some faults are identified, all LEDs flash (and the check of the buttons and relays cannot be executed).
checking the buttons and the relative relays:
* Push button PL4 (START/PAUSE) and the relay which powers the drying top activates.
* Push button PL3 (TIME) and the relay which powers the fan activates.
* Push button PL2 (TEMPERATURE) and the relay which powers the heater activates (during this check the temperature control is active in order to avoid the damages caused by the too high temperature).
* Push button PL1 (ON/OFF) and the relay which powers the drying top deactivates, the appliance switches off.
To exit the diagnostic system, switch off the appliance.
BUZZER
The appliance is normally supplied by the factory with the buzzer deactivated.  The activation/deactivation can be carried out only during the setting phase.

Push buttons PL2 and PL3 simultaneously
After some seconds, the buzzer emits a “beep” which indicates that it is activated.  To deactivate the buzzer, repeat the same operations till a “beep” is heard.

A short “beep” is generated when a button is pushed.
A longer “beep” is generated at the start of the programme or when the ON/OFF button is pressed to interrupt a drying cycle.
Three “beeps” are generated at the end of a drying cycle.

The air enters the slots located in the rear part of the drying top, sucked by the tangential fan (1) and pushed towards the heater (2) which heats it up.
The heated air flows inside the top and exits through the holes of the top to dry the cloth placed above.
The air temperature is controlled by a NTC sensor that varies its ohmic value depending on the heat degree.
The electronic circuit, reading these variations, powers or not the heater so as to maintain the temperature within the limits in order not to damage the cloth.
Besides the NTC sensor, there are two thermostats with Manual Reset, which intervene if for any reason the temperature reaches excessive values, cutting power to the heater.
DRAIN CIRCUIT
Drain hose of drying top
The drying top features a drain hose (1) connected to the pump body, which allows draining the water collected at the bottom of the top, due to a too humid cloth, or by an accidental spilling of a liquid over the top.
Start the DRAIN program of the washing machine before every drying cycle.
Drying heater
The drying heater is armored, inserted in a watertight stainless steel tubular casing.  Its electric power is 800W.
Checking the efficiency
IT DOES NOT HEAT
Check if the heating element is interrupted, measure is the value between the two terminals is 65 Ohm.
INTERVENTION OF ELECTRICAL SAFETY CUT-OUT
Check with an ohmeter if the heating element is not connected to mass and check for current leakage (40MOhm).
Tangential fan
The tangential fans are used where the space is limited and a big air mass, a low noise level and at the same time a regular flow are needed.
Checking the efficiency [IT DOES NOT WORK]
Check if the motor is jammed.
Measure if between the terminals the value of the stator winding resistance is 190 Ohm.
Manual reset thermostat
Some appliances feature safety thermostats with manual reset.
Inside there is a bi-metal disk, which if the temperature is higher than the one set for this thermostat, switches on and opens the contacts. For a correct operation, it is necessary to push manually the relative button placed between the terminals, to set the bi-metal to the initial position.
In case of intervention of the thermostats, after resetting or replacing them, verify the causes that provoked it (such as: no ventilation, fan jammed, etc.)
Checking the efficiency
Check with a tester if there is a resistance of zero Ohm between the contacts.
Heat the thermostat bulb and check that the contacts commutate.
NTC temperature sensor (General characteristics)
The NTC sensor is used to check the drying temperature. It is made in a way so that its internal heater decreases while the temperature increases. The decrease of the heater is detected by the electronic control, which, when the desired temperature is reached, switches off the heating element.
Check with a tester if there is a resistance of 20KOhm at room temperature (25°C) between the contacts.
ACCESSIBILITY TO COMPONENTS
The removable top slides on two rails provided with a safety device with double protection, in order to avoid that the user slides off the top.
Extract the removable top. [Use a screwdriver]
Operate on both guides.
Inside each rail there is the safety device. The arrow indicates the lever to block the device.
Only one rail is considered hereafter, but the operations are the same for both.
Release the first safety catch.  Move the lever with a screwdriver as indicated by the arrow and simultaneously extract the top (a little).
Repeat the same operation for the other rail. When the le Release the second safety catch
Repeat the same operations carried out at step 1, so the top will slide more.
Follow the same procedure for the other rail.
At this point the safety catches have been released and it is possible to remove the top from the rails completely. 
Fixed top
Proceed carefully in order to avoid breaking or cracking the material which the frame is made of
The 3 left hooks are symmetrical to the right ones.
Insert the screwdriver into area 1 and slightly bending, lift the frame upwards.
Insert the screwdriver into area 2 and slightly bending, lift the frame upwards.
Insert the screwdriver into area 3 and slightly bending, lift the frame upwards.
Insert the screwdriver into area 4 and slightly bending, lift the frame upwards.
Insert the screwdriver into area 5 and slightly bending, lift the frame upwards.
Insert the screwdriver into area 6 and slightly bending, lift the frame upwards.
Lift the frame up, paying attention not to damage the flat cable connected to the display board.
