LAMP ERROR [Continuous lamp Red LED Flash]
LAMP ERROR [Continuous lamp Red LED Flash]
- A current sensor circuit mounted on the Lamp Driver Module monitors the current drawn by the lamp. As the lamp ages the current it draws gradually decreases, and once it falls below a pre-determined threshold or stops completely the protection circuit detects a defectice lamp. The TV will shut down and the Lamp LED flashes continiously.
TEMPERATURE ERROR [2X Red Power/Standby flash pattern]
- The temperature error protection circuit monitors three areas for an excessive temperature condition.
- The S-1 Board [LM75 Temperature Detect IC] monitors the local external ambient room temperature. The DE microprocessor regularly queries IC7100 on the S-1 board over the I2C bus for temperature information. The threshold is set to approximately 45 degrees Celsius. The S-1 board is located on the lower rear right corner of the unit on the QSU-board shield when looking at the unit from the rear.
- The S-2 board [LM75 temperature detect IC] monitors the temperature near the Lamp. The DE microprocessor regularly queries IC7120 on the S-1 board over the I2C bus for temperature information. The threshold is set to approximately 65 degree Celsius, and is located on the lower left front corner of the unit on the front of the Lamp Housing when looking at the unit from the rear.
- There is also a LM-75 mount on the C board, which monitors internal TV temperature. The DE microprocessor regularly queries IC6901 on the C board over I2C bus for temperature information. The threshold is set to approximately 90 degrees Celsius, and is located on the C-board atop the optical block. The C-board and optical block come from parts as an assembly.
- When any one of the area describe goes above the indicated temperature threshold the TV will shut down and a 2X flash Patterson on the standby/power LED will occur.
