[1] Is video displayed on TV screen?

If Not good

There is problem in the TV circuit.

[2] Check the power supply to DVDRAM Drive; Pin-1 [5V]
& Pin-4 [12V] of connector PAP-7 on AP board.

If Not good
|
Check primary power supply circuit
|
[3] Check chroma Pin-50, Video Pin-51 and Luminacne Pin-52
of IC3101.
|
If Not good
|
Replace IC3101.
|
[4] Check for
Chroma on Pin-1, Video on Pin-3 & Luminance on Pin-5 on connector PA11 of
the ‘A’ board.

If Not good
|
Check the signal line between PA-11 & IC3101.
|
[5] Check pins 1
& 2 on connector P7402 on the RD board.
|
If not good
|
Check IC3001 and surrounding circuit on RD circuit board.
|
[6] Check the
circuit board M8 and DVD-RAM Drive.

THE UNIT DOES NOT RECORD VIDEO TO DISC
[1] Check to see
if there is an input signal on the TV screen.

If not good
|
There is problem in TV circuit.
|
[2] Check the power supply to the DVD RAM drive. Pin-1 should be 5V & pin-4 12V on the
connector PAP-7 on the AP Board.

If not good
|
Perform a Secondary Power supply check.
|
[3] Check the
connector P7402 on the RD board.
Chroma out Pin-18, Luminance out Pin-22: Pin-26
G/Y out pin-26
B/PB out pin 34
R/PR out pin 30

If not good

The DVD M8 digital board or DVD RAM Drive is defective
|
[4] Check connector PA-12 on the A board for video.
Pin-1: Y IN
Pin-3: C IN
Pin-5: PY IN
Pin-7: PB IN
Pin-9: PR IN

If not good
|
The DVD RD board is most likely defective. Check the video interface IC3001 and
surrounding circuitry.

[5] The ‘A’ board is defective. Check the video switch IC3101 and surrounding circuits.
|

[6] Is there an output signal to the speaker terminals?
|
||
[7] If OK, check
the power supply to the DVD RAM drive.
Pin-1 5V and Pin-4 12V on connector PAP-7 located on the AP board.

If found not good.

There is problem in TV circuit.
|
[8] Check
connector p7402 on the RD board.
Pin-58: R Out, Pin-62: L out.
|
If not good
|
Perform primary power supply check.
|
[9] Check the PA-10 on circuit board A. Pin-5: L-In, Pin-7: R-In.
|
If found not good.
|
Circuit board M8 or DVD RAM Drive is defective.
|
[10] Circuit board
A defective. Check IC3102 and the
surrounding circuit.

If found not good.
|
Check IC4001 and surrounding circuit on the M8 board.
