Fault: Once AC power cord is plugged in, the unit will turns ON by itself. Depends on Factory Settings, the unit will either display Video, Component or Tuner Icon. After few seconds, screen will change to Service Mode automatically. When this happens, only buttons1, 2, 3 or 4 on the remote are working, while all other buttons are non functional.
This might happen after replacement of 'A' boards. All new 'A' boards supplied from the Factory needs to be initialized.
'A' BOARD PART NUMBER: TNPH0716XXX, TNPH0721XXX, TNPH0731XXX Series
Remedy:
- Perform a Hard Reset of this TV unit by Press & Hold 'Volume Dn' button on the unit's panel & "Menu' button on the Remote control simultaneously for about '3' seconds.
- After 'Hard Reset' check and confirm if Plasma TV Powers ON in user mode and check overall functionality.
