Factory pattern adjustment
It takes approximately 2 hours for the machine to warm up before the white balance adjustment.
Before performing the white balance adjustment, set the color analyzer Ca210.
Channel 1 is used for North American models.
White balance adjustment Source and color temperature standards
The entire white balance adjustment process is as follows:
Press the Menu key, the main menu appears, and then press the number keys 1 > 9 > 9 > 9, there will be factory OSD menu, enter the factory mode.
1. Select "Source" from the factory OSD menu to select different Source color temperature adjustment (PC / AV / S-Video / component, etc.);
2. Select the Source; select the factory menu "Color Temp" option to adjust the color temperature of the corresponding Source option.

RGB adjustment (White Balance Adjustment) 
Note:
1) Source adjustment WARM, COOL, NORMAL, where PC timing is 137 (1024 * 768 60hz), AV timing is 303 (NTSC YPbPr timing is 311 (576I), and HDMI timing is 350 (1080I).
2) Before all color temperature adjustment, please do Auto Color of PC (timing137, pat185) and YPbPr (timing311, pat185). Note: YPbPr need to take three lines, do the color level YPbPr 100IRE.
3) This model generally does not need to adjust the W / B, only need to do Auto Color action can be.

Power:
3.3v supply pins are provided on either side of the module. These pins are all internally connected inside of the SiP and are provided for convenience so that Ginseng can be powered from either the left or right sides to make routing a PCB convenient for various applications. It is generally recommended to power the 3.3V bus from only one side of the SiP. The pins on the other side should be shunted to ground through a 0.1uF and 1uF set of capacitors.
XPD:
The XPD port is a SPI bus used for loading module firmware during development and mass production and also for debugging. One of the following two styles of XPD port connectors should be included on all motherboard designs that use Ginseng to ensure that loading code and debugging can be done easily. The XPD port interfaces to the XPD module which provides an interface to a host computer via RS-232 or USB. The XPD port operates from the VCC bus. To ensure proper functionality of the XPD interface, be sure to minimize the amount of capacitance on the XPD lines. Note: the XPD_RESET / EXT_RST pin is tolerant up to 1.8V MAX -- if control of the Reset pin is desired, a series diode must be used to guarantee the input voltage does not exceed the 1.8V max.
Digital IO:
Ginseng has general purpose digital IO (“GPIO”) pins available for use by the application firmware. GPIO pins use the same logic voltage as the 3.3V pin and have the following software configurable features: IO direction, drive strength (for output only), Schmitt Trigger (for input only), pull up (input only), pull down (input only), slew rate (output only). Ginseng is also capable of active-high and active-low configuration of LEDs.

Subwoofer Level control:
Use this control to balance the subwoofer’s volume with that of the soundbar. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the subwoofer’s volume; turn it counterclockwise to decrease the subwoofer’s volume.  Crossover control: This knob adjusts the subwoofer’s cutoff between 40Hz and 200Hz.The higher you set the Cutoff control, the higher in frequency the subwoofer will operate and the more its bass will “overlap” that of the soundbar. This adjustment helps achieve a smooth transition of bass frequencies between the subwoofer and the soundbar for a variety of different rooms and subwoofer locations. See Subwoofer Crossover control, on page 8, for more information.  Phase switch: This switch determines whether the subwoofer driver’s piston-like action moves in and out in phase with the speakers in the soundbar. If the subwoofer were to play out of phase with the soundbar speakers, some of the sound waves produced by the subwoofer or soundbar could be canceled, reducing bass performance and sonic impact. This phenomenon depends in part on the relative placement of the speakers in the room. See Subwoofer Phase switch, on page 8, for more information.

Tuner reset
You can change the AM tuning scale to 9 KHz or 10 KHz.  After tuning in any AM station turn off the receiver.  Hold down the Preset tuning + and – ve together.
All preset stations will be erased when you change the tuning scale. To reset the scale to 10 kHz (or 9 kHz), repeat the procedure.
Factory preset mode
All preset contents are reset to the default setting:
While depressing the Video-1 and the 2CH buttons simultaneously, press the Power button to turn ON the main power.
The message FACTORY appears and switch OFF the set.
While depressing the Video-1 and the 2CH buttons simultaneously, press the Power button once more.
The message FACTORY appears and the present contents are reset to the default values.
AUTO BETICAL MODE
* This mode is installed in the Europe models only. When this mode is used, the receiver scans the broadcasts that can be received by
the tuner, and sets up the broadcasts. Be sure to start scanning after connecting the antenna.
Check that the antenna is connected.
Press the Power button to turn ON power, while pressing the Memory button.
The message AUTO-BETICAL SELECT appears and the receiver starts scanning.

These units contain a self-diagnostic function. If an error occurs, the Smart Core Red LED will automatically begin to flash.
The number of times the LED flashes translates to a probable source of the problem.
A definition of the Smart Core Red LED flash indicators is listed in the instruction manual for the user’s knowledge and reference.
If an error symptom cannot be reproduced, the remote commander can be used to review the failure occurrence data stored in memory to reveal past problems and how often these problems occur.

DIAGNOSTIC TEST INDICATORS
When an error occurs, the Smart Core Red LED will flash a set number of times to indicate the possible cause of the problem.
If there is more than one error, the LED will identify the first of the problem areas.
Result for all of the following diagnostic items are displayed on screen.
If the screen displays a “0”, no error has occurred.

In standby mode, press buttons on the remote commander sequentially in rapid succession as shown below:
Since the diagnostic results displayed on the screen are not automatically cleared, always check the self-diagnostic screen.
After you have completed the repairs, clear the result display to “0”.

To exit the Self Diagnostic screen, Power off & on or Push the <Home> button.
Adjustments
1) Turn on the main power switch to set in standby mode.

SOFTWARE VERSION
In Service Mode, select “Model Information”, press “Enter” or “→ ” button to enter Status Information.
Press “Enter” or “Return” button to return to Service Mode.
SERIAL NUMBER EDIT (1)
1) In “Service Mode”, select “Model Information” by pressing “↑” or “↓” then pressing “Enter” or “→” button to enter inside.
2) Select “Serial Number Edit” by pressing “↑” or “↓” button then pressing “Enter” or “→” button
3) Press “↑” or “↓” to input numbers.
4) After user input data, press <Enter> .
• Pop-up dialog appear to confirm input data correct
• Serial Number can be set ONLY ONCE
5) Press “→” or “←” button to select YES or NO. Select YES if input data is correct. Select NO if
input data is incorrect. Press <Enter> to save answer.
SERIAL NUMBER EDIT (2)
If YES is selected, the input data is saved into EEPROM.
SERIAL NUMBER EDIT is grayed out and the serial number that has been input is displayed.
User will not able to edit anymore.
If NO is selected, the input data is not saved into EEPROM.
The serial number that has been input is displayed.
User can still edit the Serial Number
MODEL NUMBER SETTING
1) In “Service Mode”, select “Model Information” by pressing “↑” or “↓” then pressing “Enter” or “→” button to enter inside.
2) Select “Model Number Setting” by pressing “↑” or “↓” button then pressing “Enter” or “→” button.
3) Press “↑” or “↓” arrow key to scroll Product Name Candidate.

4) Select one Product Name from the list, press <Enter> will pop dialog to inform user to confirm data. Model dependent settings will be overwritten into EEPROM.
WB ADJUSTMENT
When main board or panel is replaced this adjustment should be done.
In “Panel/PQ” service mode.
a. Go to “WB Adjustment” category by “↑” or “↓”
b. To select “WB Adjustment”, press “→” button.
c. To change data , press “←” or “→” on remote commander.
WB/MURA/CUC DATA TRANSFER
 Apply when main board or panel is replaced.
1. In “Panel/PQ” service mode.
a. Go to “WB/Mura/CUC data transfer” category by “↑” or “↓”
b. To select “WB/Mura/CUC data transfer”, press “→” button.
c. To change data , press “←” or “→” on remote commander.
2. In “WB/Mura/CUC data transfer”.
a. Select “WB/Gamma data transfer” by pressing “↑” or “↓” on remote commander.
b. To change the items, press “←” or “→” on remote commander and press “Enter” button.
Selectable items are:
0. SoC to T-con
1. T-con to SoC
2. Not action
c. Select “[start]” and press “Enter” button to start transfer.
HDD PERFORMANCE CHECK
1. In “Service Mode”, select “General Setting” by pressing “↑” or “↓” then pressing “Enter” or “→” button to enter inside.
2. Select “HDD Performance check ” by pressing “↑” or “↓” then pressing “Enter” or “→” button to enter inside
3. A message "Please wait ..." is displayed during performance check processing.
4. Result OK or NG will be displayed after performance of HDD is checked
HDD RE-REGISTRATION
1) In “Service Mode”, select “General Setting” by pressing “↑” or “↓” then pressing “Enter” or “→” button to enter inside.
2) Select “AAA” by pressing “↑” or “↓” then pressing “Enter” or “→” button to enter inside.
3) Result OK or NG will be displayed after HDD re-registration is succeed/failed.
