How to enter service mode, white balance adjustment, LVDS, SMPS and back-light inverter board schematic - RCA L15D20 - 15 inch LCD TV [Universal remote control set-up codes for RCA TVs]

White Balance, Luminance Adjustment 
Approximately 30 minutes should be allowed for warm up before proceeding white balance adjustment.
First adjust PC mode and then adjust AV mode, HDMI mode, component 480i mode, component 480p mode. Before started adjust white balance, please set the Chroma-7120 MEM. Channel 01 to Cold color MEM. and channel 03 to Normal color, MEM. and channel 04 to warm color, MEM.(cold parameter is x = 289, y =304; normal parameter is x =299, y =315; warm parameter is x =313, y =329 )
Note: The tolerance of the color coordinates should be less than ± 20.
How to setting MEM. channel you can reference to Chroma-7120 user guide or simple use “ SC” key and “ NEXT” key to modify x, y , Y value and use “ID” key to modify the TEXT description
Following is the procedure to do white-balance adjust.
Note: Step of AV, HDMI, COMPONENT480i, COMPONENT480p mode adjustment is the same as PC mode,
PC mode:
Ⅰ. In the TV mode adjust volume to zero and press number key 9 > 8 > 7 > 6.
It will achieve the factory mode [Service Mode].
Select the item of White Balance and press right key to enter it.
In the White Balance you can adjust 8 items.
1-3 items is RO, GO, BO -- R, G, B Bias adjust.
4-6 items is RG, GG, BG -- R, G, B Gain adjust.
7 item needn’t adjust
8 items is color temperature select: Cool, Normal, and Warm.
Bias (Low luminance) adjustment
1. Set the raster pattern (Black pattern with 1024×768) Input.
2. Adjust the brightness on OSD until chroma 7120 measurement reach the lowest value.
Gain adjustment
A. Adjust Cold color-temperature:
1. Set the Contrast of OSD function to 80 and Adjust Brightness to chroma-7120 Y>180 cd/m2
2. Switch the chroma-7120 to RGB-mode (with press “MODE” button)
3. Switch the MEM. channel to Channel 01 (with up or down arrow on chroma-7120)
4. The LCD-indicator on chroma-7120 will show x =289, y =304, Y>180cd/m2
5. Adjust the 4 item: RG, until chroma 7120 indicator reached the value R=100
6. Adjust the 5 item: GG, until chroma-7120 indicator reached the value G=100
7. Adjust the 6 item: BG, until chroma-7120 indicator reached the value B=100
8. Repeat above procedure until chroma-7120 RGB value meet the tolerance =100±2
9. Switch the chroma-7120 to x, y, Y mode with press “MODE” button to check the color temp is in SPEC. or not.
10. Enter the 8 item to select another color temperature to adjust.

Adjust Normal color-temperature

8. Repeat above procedure until chroma-7120 RGB value meet the tolerance =100±2
9. Switch the chroma-7120 to x, y, Y mode with press “MODE” button to check the color temp is in SPEC. or not.
10. Enter the 8 item to select another color temperature to adjust.
Adjust Warm color-temperature
1. Set the Contrast of OSD function to 80 and Adjust Brightness to chroma-7120 Y>180cd/m2
2. Switch the chroma-7120 to RGB-mode (with press “MODE” button)
3. Switch the MEM. channel to Channel 04 (with up or down arrow on chroma-7120)
4. The LCD-indicator on chroma-7120 will show x =313, y =324, Y>180cd/m2
5. Adjust the 4 item: RG, until chroma 7120 indicator reached the value R=100
6. Adjust the 5 item: GG, until chroma-7120 indicator reached the value G=100
7. Adjust the 6 item: BG, until chroma-7120 indicator reached the value B=100
8. Repeat above procedure until chroma-7120 RGB value meet the tolerance =100±2
9. Switch the chroma-7120 to x, y, Y mode With press “MODE” button to check the color temp is in SPEC. or not.
10. Enter the 8 item to select another color temperature to adjust.

Switch different source
Press the source key on the remote control to switch different source to adjust the AV, HDMI, CONPONENT 480i
and COMPONENT 480p mode.
Press “Exit” button on remote control to quit from factory mode

When fxing the PWB soldered with the lead-free solder, apply lead-free wire solder. Repairing with conventional lead wire solder may cause damage or accident due to cracks. As the melting point of lead-free solder (Sn-Ag-Cu) is higher than the lead wire solder by 40°C, we recommend you to use a dedicated soldering bit.
As the melting point of lead-free solder (Sn-Ag-Cu) is about 220°C which is higher than the conventional lead solder by 40°C, and as it has poor solder wettability, you may be opt to keep the soldering bit in contact with the PWB for extended period of time. However, Since the land may be peeled off or the maximum heat-resistance temperature of parts may be
exceeded, remove the bit from the PWB as soon as you confrm the steady soldering condition.
Lead-free solder contains more tin, and the tip of the soldering bit may be easily corroded. Make sure to turn on and off the power of the bit as required.
If a different type of solder stays on the tip of the soldering bit, it is alloyed with lead-free solder. Clean the bit after every use of it.
When the tip of the soldering bit is blackened during use, file it with steel wool or fine sandpaper.
Be careful when replacing parts with polarity indication on the PWB silk.
Adjustment method after PWB and/or IC replacement due to repair
The unit is set to the optimum performance at the time of shipment from the factory.
If any value should become improper or any adjustment is necessary due to the part replacement, make an adjustment according to the following procedure,
MAIN UNIT (DUNTKG135FNxx)
NOTE: [Caution when replacing ICs in the main unit (IC0503, IC1507, IC1508, IC1509, IC1510)]
Entering and exiting the adjustment process mode. Standard method. (Service mode)
 By key-unit.
1. Unplug the AC power cord, plug the AC power cord and wait until pyramid led blue is iluminated and then:
2. Press and hold “V-” and “CH-” keys, simultaneously.
3. “SHARP FACTORY MENU” appears.
4. Unplug the AC power cord to exit of adjustments process.
By own R/C
1. Turn on the TV set.
2. Press “MENU”.
3. Press “9”, ”9”, ”9”, “2”, “2”, “2” (to enter this code the time is limited to 5 sec. approx.)
4. “SERVICE MENU” appears.
5. Press ◄/► cursor to select the desired function.
6. Press “OK on boxes to go to submenu.
7. Press “6” to return to “SHARP FACTORY” Main Menu.
8. Press”END” or “MENU” to exit of adjustments mode.
[CAUTION: Use due care in handling the information described here lest the users should know how to enter the adjustment process mode. If the settings are tampered with in this mode, unrecoverable system damage may result.]
White Balance Adjustment
Condition:
* AV MODE= Dynamic (backlight at max.).
* Select correct Inch setting (39”,50” or 60”) in “Inch setting” menu.
* Adjustments reference device: Minolta CA-210
* Adjustments target: x=0.274, y=0.284
High: adjustments spec ±0.001, inspection spec: ±0.002
Low: adjustments spec ±0.002, inspection spec: ±0.004
1. Press “◄ / ►” until selecting “White Balance” option.
2. Press “OK”.
3. “GAMMA” menu appears.
4. Press “◄ / ►” until selecting “MGAMMA RESET”.
5. Press “OK”, to restore default values.
6. Hold the default value for “MGAMMA G1”. (Note: next, try to get the (x, y) adjustments target, changing “MGAMMA R1” and “MGAMMA B1” as follow).
7. Press “◄ / ►” until selecting “MGAMMA R1”.
8. Press “OK” to enter “Internal Adjustments Pattern 1”.
9. Press “◄ / ►” until you obtain the desired value.
10. Press “6” to return to previous menu.
11. Press “◄ / ►” until selecting “MGAMMA B1”.
12. Press “OK” to enter “Internal Adjustments Pattern 1”.
13. Press “◄ / ►” until you obtain the desired value.
14. Press “6” to return to previous menu.
(Note: In case of not being possible to achieve the desired (x, y) target, try to get it by changing also the “MGAMMA G1”)
15. Press “◄ / ►” until selecting “MGAMMA R2”.
16. Press “OK” to enter “Internal Adjustments Pattern 2”.
17. Repeat from step 6 to 14 for the “MGAMMA R2” and “MGAMMA B2”.
18. Press “◄ / ►” until selecting “MGAMMA R3”.
19. Press “OK” to enter “Internal Adjustments Pattern 3”.
20. Repeat from step 6 to 14 for the “MGAMMA R3” and “MGAMMA B3”.
21. Press “◄ / ►” until selecting “MGAMMA R4”.
22. Press “OK” to enter “Internal Adjustments Pattern 4”.
23. Repeat from step 6 to 14 for the “MGAMMA R4” and “MGAMMA B4”.
24. Press “◄ / ►” until selecting “MGAMMA R5”.
25. Press “OK” to enter “Internal Adjustments Pattern 5”.
26. Repeat from step 6 to 14 for the “MGAMMA R5” and “MGAMMA B5”.
27. Press “◄ / ►” until selecting “MGAMMA R6”.
28. Press “OK” to enter “Internal Adjustments Pattern 6”.
29. Repeat from step 6 to 14 for the “MGAMMA R6” and “MGAMMA B6”.
30. Press “◄ / ►” until selecting “MGAMMACommit”.
31. NOTE:
For activating the W/B flag, only is necessary to send the order “Commit”. After this action, the “W” W/B flag will change to “1”. Press “OK”, to save the new values.
Initialization to factory setting
Caution: When the factory settings have been add, all user setting data, including the channel settings, are initialized.
The adjustments done in the adjustment process mode are not initialized. Keep this in mind when initializing these settings.
1. Enter in Service mode.
2. Press “◄” or “►” key until selecting “Factory Init”.
3. Press OK key twice.
4. Turn off the TV set.
5. When turns on again, the TV restarts in “Initial Installation” menu.
The following settings will be back to their factory ones:
* User settings
* Channel data (e.g. broadcast frequencies)
* Maker option setting
* Password data.
Public Mode (Hotel mode)
How to Enter in the Public Mode (Hotel Mode).
There are two following ways to display the Public Mode setting screen.
Method 1:
Turn on the power and enter in the Service mode as usual and select [PUBLIC MODE].
Method 2:
Unplug the AC power cord.
Plug the AC power cord. When the LED light blue, press “VOL+” and “INPUT” keys at the same time.
Then, when you are asked for the password, enter “0027”.

2. MAXIMUM VOLUME [0 ↔ 100]
Is possible to set the maximum volume at limited level
3. VOLUME FIXED [VARIABLE ↔ FIXED]
Is possible to fix the sound volume at limited level.
When “FIXED” is selected the sound volume before limited is fixed.
4. VOLUME FIXED LEVEL [0 ↔ 100]
If “FIXED” has been selected, is possible to set a fixed volume at the level that is chosen.
5. RC BUTTON [RESPOND ↔ NO RESPOND]
If “NO RESPOND” is selected, the remote control keys are inoperative.
6. PANEL BUTTON [RESPOND ↔ NO RESPOND]
If “NO RESPOND” has been selected, the set’s keys remain deactivated (Except POWER key).
7. MENU BUTTON [RESPOND ↔ NO RESPOND]
If “NO RESPOND” has been selected, “MENU” key, of remote control, is inoperative.
8. ON SCREEN DISPLAY [Yes ↔ No]
If “OFF” has been selected, the On Screen Display does not appear.
9. INPUT MODE START [ NORMAL → ATV → DTV→ HDMI1 → HDMI2 → HDMI3 → HDMI4 → SCART-AV → VIDEO → PC IN → COMPONENTS ]
When any other item than “NORMAL” has been selected, the sets will start in a selected input mode at the next power-on.
10. INPUT TV MODE PROGRAM NUMBER [1-999]
If value is “0”, TV should start in the last program number selected by user if in the previous control ATV / DTV is selected, this is the normal user TV behavior. If value is different from “0”, TV should starts in the specifed program number when it is switched on.
11. INPUT MODE FIXED [VARIABLE↔ FIXED]
“FIXED” has been selected, any channels and input modes other than those selected at the start mode cannot be picked up.
12. RC PATH THROUGH [ON ↔ OFF] (Need additional Hardware)
When ON and RS-232 circuitry is really assembled , in pin #9 of RS-232 socket appears a feedback of the remote signal (3.3v logic type).
13. HOTEL MODE [ON ↔ OFF]
If ON has been selected the HOTEL MODE is activated.
14. RS-232C POWER ON [ENABLE ↔ DISABLE] (Need additional Hardware)
When this option is set to “ENABLE” it means that TV should be able to be switched on from standby mode through a RS232 command.
15. HDMI LEVEL POWER ON [ENABLE ↔ DISABLE] (Need additional Hardware)
Enabling this option, the polling of HDMI signal presence in a given HDMI input is being monitored.
[TV in ON mode] If there isn’t HDMI signal present, after some seconds TV should go to standby
[TV in standby mode] If there is HDMI signal present, TV should switch on.
16. COMMIT
Select Commit and press OK to apply the change.
17. RESET
Cancel all Public Mode settings. (It returns to the factory settings)
SMART LOADER
Description.
The Smartloader is a function implemented in the service software of SEE designed LE750 series intended to easily 
replicate the user settings of one TV into another. These settings include (but not restricted to): picture and audio, tuning set-up, language and country selection, PIN, child locked programs… Factory adjustments are not copied as they are different for every TV.
The Smartloader makes possible the user data to be stored in a memory device connected to the USB terminal of the TV that is used as reference and later load those data into other TVs by using their respective USB terminal.
How it works.
In reference TV:
1. Insert a memory device in the USB slot.
2. Enter in service mode, select SmartLoader (Clone TV) menu.
3. Press “OK”.
4. Select “Save data” and press OK in the remote control.
5. Wait until “OK:0” is displayed, the fle has been successfully created in the root directory of the memory device.
In case of error, an explanation message is shown.
In TV to be cloned:
1. Insert a memory device with a fle in it obtained following the above procedure.
2. Enter in service mode, select SmartLoader menu.
3. Select “Load data” and press OK button in the remote control.
4. After some seconds, “OK: 0” is displayed. In case of error, an explanation message is shown.
5. Reboot the TV to load the new settings.
Very important: All the TVs must have the same software version and hardware.
SOFTWARE UPGRADING
Software update via USB
It is possible to update the software on your SHARP TV.
1 Add the binary file to USB memory root.
2 Insert the memory in any USB side TV set socket.
3 Press Mwnu button.
4 With ◄/► select Setup and press OK.
5 Select Control → Software → Software Update → Via USB
The software version that is currently installed is displayed.
6 Press >> button to proceed. The TV searches for a new software file on the USB stick.
If a new software version is available after the search, a message appears:
New software Vx.xx
7 Press >> button to start loading the new software.
Or press END to end the wizard (the software will not be updated).
# The updated percentage appears.*
8 To make your TV completely ready for use again, switch it off and on with the mains switch.
Software update via Internet
1 Press Menu button.
2. with </> select Setup and press OK.
Select Control > Software > Software upgrade > Via Internet.  A message regarding data protection will be displayed.
If you do not agree with data protection message, press << to exit.  If you agree, press >> to continue.  The version of the software now installed will be displayed.
By pressing >> the TV connects to the internet and scans the update server for new software.  If a new version is available a message appears.
Press >> to start loading the new software.  If you want to end the wizard, press END. to make the TV completely ready for use again, switch it OFF and ON with the mains switch.
[DO NOT switch OFF the TV by mains switch during software upgrading.
The total programming process can take up to 50 minutes in total  (depend upon the data transfer speed of your broadband connection, this time might differ)

TROUBLESHOOTING
DIAGNOSING THE ERROR
Before servicing the Television
1. Verify the TV has the symptom the customer indicated.
2. Check to see if the latest Software is installed.
a. If not, install the latest version.
3. Determine the replacement part required.
VIEWING THE SELF CHECK DIAGNOSIS HISTORY
When an error is detected, the Self Check screen records the number of times the error occurred. This is helpful in confirming past occurrences of an error and for determining if an error is intermittent when the customer is not sure what is causing the television to shut down. If the screen displays a “0”, no error has occurred.
Press the Power  to turn on the TV and then turn it off again.
2. Press the following buttons on the Remote Commander within 1 second of each other:
Info(i+) > Channel (5) > Volume (--) > Power
NOTE: This differs from accessing Service Adjustments Mode (Volume +)

TRIAGE CHART
Use this general Triage Chart to determine what may possibly be causing the error before going out to the customers location.
Confirm the symptom from the customer. Red Dot: (Primary) Most likely defective part.
2. Select that symptom from the chart. Blue Triangle: (Secondary) Possible defective part.
3. Bring the primary component listed for that symptom.
5. Chart Color Code.
4. Follow the  flowchart to isolate the board  .

REPAIRING THE TV
If the latest Software does not correct the issue, complete the following:
1. Verify the television has the symptom the customer indicated.
2. Replace part causing the symptom.
3. Install the latest version of Software (Required for ALL repairs).
4. Perform the required service adjustments and checks.
5. Verify the repair resolved the issue.
REMOVING THE TABLE TOP STAND
1. Place TV face down on a flat and steady surface.
2. Remove all screws and grasp as shown to detach the Table Top Stand.
REMOVING THE LOWER COVER
1. Locate and remove all screws from the Lower Cover.
2. Locate the areas shown in the illustration and detach the Lower Cover from the TV.
REPLACING THE MAIN BOARD
The Main Board used in these models is available for repair.
1. Slide the Side Bracket and Under Bracket to detach from Main Board.
2. Locate and disconnect the connectors. Then remove all screws from the Main Board and lift to detach.
3. Install the new Main Board, connectors and screws.
4. Update the Software.
After ALL repairs UPDATE the SOFTWARE to the latest version.
Software update procedure
a. Insert the USB device with the latest Software into one of the TVs’ USB ports.
b. Connect TV to AC power.
c. Wait at least 20 seconds.
d. Press the Power on the remote to turn ON the TV.
e. Wait until the Software update is completed.
5. To access Service Mode, turn TV ON and OFF again then press the following buttons within 1 second of each other:
Info (i+) > Channel (5) > Volume (+) > Power
6. Press the DN until Panel Selection is selected.
7. Press Left or Right to select the correct Panel Code for the TV model.  (Use the table below for reference)
8. Locate the Serial Number for the TV on the side of the Rear Cover.
9. Press DN until SERIAL NUMBER EDIT is selected.
10. Press RIGHT to be able to select the first digit.
11. Press UP or DOWN to select numbers and then RIGHT to move to the next digit until Serial Number is complete.
CAUTION: The Serial Number can only be selected once. Be sure to verify the information is correct before saving the changes.
12. When the complete Serial Number displays, press (+)
13. On the confirmation screen, press LEFT to select YES and then (+)
14. Press DN until MODEL NAME EDIT is selected.
15. Press RIGHT to be able to select the frst character.
16. Press UP or DN to select characters and then to move to the next space until Model Name is complete.
NOTE: Make sure to include dash in Model Name.
CAUTION: The Model Name can only be selected once. Be sure to verify the information is correct before saving the changes.
17. When the complete Model Name displays, press (+)
18. On the confirmation screen, press LEFT to select YES and then (+)
19. Press POWER  to exit Service Mode
How to remove the speakers, replacing the switch unit
Disconnect the connector from Speakers and lift as shown to detach.
REPLACING THE SWITCH UNIT
1. Disconnect the connector from the Switch Unit and lift as shown to remove.
2. Install the new Switch Unit and its connector.

WAX CHASSIS
The circuit boards used in these models have been processed using Lead Free Solder. The boards are identified by the LF logo located close to the board designation.. The servicing of these boards requires special precautions to be taken.
It is strongly recommended to use Lead Free Solder material in order to guarantee optimal quality of new solder joints.
Due to the higher melting point of Lead Free Solder the soldering iron tip temperature needs to be set to 370 degrees centigrade.This requires soldering equipment capable of accurate temperature control coupled with a good heat recovery characteristics.

How to Find a Good Earth Ground
A cold-water pipe is a guaranteed earth ground; the cover-plate retaining screw on most AC outlet boxes is also at earth ground. If the retaining screw is to be used as your earth ground, verify that it is at ground by measuring the resistance between it and a cold-water pipe with an ohmmeter. The reading should be zero ohms.
The unit contains a self-diagnostic function. If an error occurs, the POWER LED will automatically begin to fl ash. The number of times the LED fl ashes translates to a probable source of the problem. A definition of the POWER LED flash indicators is listed in the instruction manual for the user’s knowledge and reference. If an error symptom is difficult to reproduced use the Remote Commander to display the record that is stored at the internal NVM to specify the cause of the failure.
Diagnostic Test Indicators
When an error occurs, the POWER LED will fl ash a set number of times to indicate the possible cause of the problem. If there is more than one error, the LED will identify the first of the problem areas. If the errors occur simultaneously, the one that corresponds to the fewest flashes is identified first. Results for all of the following diagnostic items are displayed on screen. No error has occurred if the screen displays a “0”.

Used ICs: MIP2H2, CXA3809M 
The circuit boards used in these models have been processed using Lead Free Solder. The boards are identified by the LF logo located close to the board designation e.g. H1 etc [ see example ]. The servicing of these boards requires special precautions.
Due to the higher melting point of Lead Free Solder the soldering iron tip temperature needs to be set to 370 degrees centigrade.This requires soldering equipment capable of accurate temperature control coupled with a good heat recovery characteristics.

How to troubleshoot Sony Bravia WAX Chassis (LCD) TV - Repair Tips

Power supply
TV does not turn on:
> The first check that must be made is to check that the red LED, located on the front panel of the appliance is switched on.
Confirm the 5V Standby voltage on the connector CN6203 - pin 1 (PCI G2)

TV does not have standby voltage 5V:
> Confirm the voltage of 170V (at 110V) or 308V (at 220V) at pin 5 of the IC6300. It is voltage is required for the startup of the IC6300. If there is no voltage on pin 5, check the F6000 fuse, the D6300 rectifier bridge, and the TH6300 thermistor.
> Confirm the 16.1V voltage on pin 2 of the IC6300. This tension should remain constant. If the voltage increases and the appliance switches off immediately, the IC6300 must not be controlling the working frequency of the T6300 transformer;
> Confirm the frequency of pins 7 and 8 of the IC6300 relative to GND - pin 3. This should be at approximately 100 to 120KHz. If it is too high below this range, then there is a problem on some secondary line of feedback;
> Confirm the voltage of 1.1V on pin 4 of the IC6300. In normal operation, this pin must be approximately 1.1V. This voltage is directly related to the output voltage of 5V. If a short circuit occurs in the 5V line, the voltage on pin 4 will decrease. Case an overvoltage problem arising from a defect in the feedback line occurs, the voltage on pin 4 will increase. Even if the feedback line is open, the frequency will increase greatly.
You can work with the device's separate standby source. To do this, you must turn off the and disconnect the CN6203 connector. Power the standby source with an AC voltage and check the items described earlier. If the voltages are normal, there is a transformer secondary load problem T6300. That is, some short or consumption on the StandBy 5V line, which is connected to the A3U board.
If the PH6300 photo-coupler is experiencing problems, the IC6300 will not StandBy voltage. To isolate the photo-coupler, we must ground the resistor R6306 or short circuit pins 3 and 4 of the photocell PH6300. In doing so, the IC6300 should its working frequency to 4 KHz and the secondary voltage of the T6300 transformer
(STANDBY 5V) will be 2.8 volts.
b) TV has standby voltage 5V:
> Confirm 5V voltage through CN1003 - pin 9 (PCI B);
> Confirm the 3.3V voltage through the FL1001
> Confirm the 3.3V voltage (reset) through the IC1001 - pino92
> Confirm the XTAL1001's 16.15MHz waveform (System Clock)
> Confirm that when the TV is switched on using the POWER button, the voltage on the CN1007 - pin2 drops from 3.3V to 0V.
Power On:
> Confirm that the DC level "POWER1" is released by the IC1001 - pin7, measure JL1072
> Confirm the 2.9V DC level on the CN6203 - pin3
> Confirm the unregulated voltages of 15V, 33V, 10.5V through the CN6200 and the voltage regulated from 17.5 in CN6202. After the power supply oscillator has run voltages appear on the CN6200 and CN6202 connectors, the microprocessor releases the Power2, Power3 and Power4 signals to release regulator voltages.
Power Supply.
Confirming operation of primary power supply
> Confirm the 5V standby voltage. This step is necessary since the IC6300 must be powered with a voltage of 16.2V - VC1. This 16.2V voltage is produced from the 5V Standby Voltage;
> Confirm that there is voltage rectified after the D6000 rectifier bridge;
• Does the green LED light up when the appliance is switched on?
* If the Green LED lights up after pressing the POWER button, the microprocessor has received the drive command and is running correctly;
* If the Green LED does not light after pressing the POWER button, it indicates that there is some problem with the microprocessor
> Confirm that the signal from POWER 1 (Power ON) went to 2.9V on the connector CN6203 - pin 3;
> Confirm all voltages from the primary main power supply:
or regulated 17.5V;
or unregulated 10.5V, 15V and 17.5V.
2. Confirming operation of the secondary main power supply
> Confirm the 5V standby voltage. This step is necessary since the IC6300 must be powered with a voltage of 16.2V - VC1. This 16.2V voltage is produced from the 5V Standby Voltage.
> Confirm the existence of primary mains supply voltages:
or regulated 17.5V; the unregulated 10.5V, 15V, 17.5V and 33V.
> Check PS8501 (D5V) and PS8551 (Panel);
> Confirm the Power 2, Power 3 and Power 4 signals go high (3.2V) at the connector CN9401 - pins 41, 43 and 44;

> Confirm the output voltages: D5V, A9V, PANEL 5V.
Protections
According to item 13 of the Technical Training handbook 01/06, there are 5 protections in the chassis WAX - BRAVIA line:
1. DC ALERT 1- PANEL_5V
> Confirm via IC1001 / pin 44 (JL1055) if there is a voltage of 3.1V - DCALERT1;
a) Television has no voltage of 3.1V (Protection of DCALERT1 triggered);
> Confirm the regulated voltage of 17.5V through the CN6200 / pins1 to 5;
> Confirm the 5V voltage through the IC8552 / pin2 (A3U board)
2. DC ALERT 2 - A_9V
> Confirm via IC1001 / pin 45 (JL1054) if there is a 3.2V voltage - DCALERT2
a) Television has no voltage of 3.2V (DCALERT2 protection activated);
> Confirm the A9V power supply via the CN9405 / pin4 (A3U board);
b) If you do not have A9V power:
> Check the 9V regulator - IC8653
> Confirm regulated voltage of 10.5V via CN8601 / pin 9 or 10 (A3U board)
3. DC ALERT 3 - AU_15V
> Confirm via IC1001 / pino51 (JL1057) if there is a voltage of 3.2V - DCALERT3
a) Television has no 3.2V voltage (DCALERT3 protection on);
> Confirm via CN8601 / pins 13 or 14 if there is a voltage of 15.7V (AU15V)
> If you do not find the 15.7V voltage, check the power source, which should not be to be oscillating.
 Back Light
> Confirm via CN8603 / pin5 if there is voltage of 3.1V - BackLight;
a) Television has no voltage of 3.1V;
> Confirm via CN6203 / pin4 if there is a voltage drop of the Acc OF Det (0V) line;
b) Television has a voltage of 3.1V;
• Confirm via CN8603 / pin4 if there is a voltage of 2.3V (A3U board) – PANEL DET. If the Panel_Det signal does not exist, the LCD panel assembly may be defect;
5. Abnormal Voltage on Power Supply
• Confirm the regulated voltage of 17.5V on pin 1 of the CN1003 connector, located on the
B. If this voltage decreases (below 10V) or increases (above 23V), the microprocessor receives a sample of this voltage on pin 121 of the microprocessor and triggers protection.
6. Abnormal voltage in Speakers
• Confirm via R7813 or Q7744 collector if there is a voltage of 2.8V A3U)
a) Television does not have voltage of 2.8V;
• Confirm that there is a DC level on the audio output.
7. High Internal Temperature
There is a sensor on the B board, which monitors the internal temperature of the appliance. This sensor composed of IC1007, which communicates with the microprocessor through the Data and Clock communication (pins 1 and 2 of IC1007).
When this protection is activated, the device switches off and the LED flashes 7 times.
