VERIFYING THE SOFTWARE VERSION
Using the Remote Control in the Image Menu, enter "2008". This option opens the version of software of the appliance.
To Unblock THE APPLIANCE
In case the customer forgets the blocking code of the entries / indicative classification, Enter the code "1980" to unlock.
SERVICE MENU OPERATION KEYS
Use the "Enter" key to access the service menus, press "Menu" to go back 1 Menu and use the Up|Dn, <and> <e> keys to select or adjust.

MAIN SOFTWARE RECORDING (Via USB).
The "KKMTUpgrade" software to be installed in the root (Do not put it In folders or subfolders) from a USB device.
Connect the device to one of the USB ports.
Use the User Menu to update it:
Open the Menu and select "Configuration" and in the submenu choose the option "Update Select "USB" and confirm the "Yes" option.
Use the Factory Menu to update it:
In the menu enter "2008" to open the Factory Menu and select the "USB Upgrade" and select the Software Upgrade option.
Do the update as follows:
- With the TV in stand by and the connected USB flash drive, press and hold the Button on the TV until a blue screen with Percentage of SW update.
MBOOT SOFTWARE UPDATE
RECORDING THE MBOOT SOFTWARE (Via USB).
The "MBOOT.bin" software to be installed in the root should be written (Do not put it In folders or subfolders) from a USB device.
Connect the device to one of the USB ports.
Using the Factory Menu to update it:
In the menu enter "2008" to open the Factory Menu and select the "USB Upgrade" and select the MBoot Upgrade option.
VIDEO GAIN ADJUSTMENT (after changing the LCD panel or Software Update)
VIDEO COMPONENT ADC (OFFSET) GAIN ADJUSTMENT
Connect a colored bar or grayscale signal to the input to be adjusted, Component (YPbPr)
Select the input to be adjusted (Component) and then enter Service Mode.
Select the "ADC ADJUST" setting menu.
In the "ADC ADJUST" menu, select the "AUTO ADC" item and start the auto Direction keys "<" or ">".
Note: The Component input (YPbPr) requires HD (720 or 1080) and SD (480).

PROCEDURE FOR ACCESS to Hotel Mode adjustments
1. On the remote control, press the MENU button.
2. Using the Up or Dn keys select the LOCK menu and press the ENTER key.
3. You will be prompted to enter the password, enter the password 9512.
4. Enter the LOCK Menu where one of the options will be Hotel Mode.
5. Select the Hotel Mode option and press the ENTER key to start the settings.
AVAILABLE SETTINGS
MODE Options:
HOTEL Call > To enable and adjust all other Menu options Off > Disable all menu setting options, the Operate without the conditions of HOTEL MODE.
MAX 0 ~ 100
VOLUME Sets the maximum volume the user can reach.
For example, if you set 30 the user can increase the volume only up to 30 bar Of volume.
POWER Options:
ON Standby: When turning the TV on the mains power off and on, the same turn on stand by
MODE Power On: Turning the TV on and off the power on the same turn on.
LOCK Options:
KEY On > Locks all keys on the TV set.
Off > Device keys operate normally.
START Option to select the input source that will appear each time the TV is turned on.
CHANNEL Enables a START CHANNEL sub menu with the following options:
A) Start Channel: ON and OFF (disabled, last signal source).
B) START SOURCE: Allows you to select the input source:
Antenna, Cable, AV, Component, HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3, USB.
C) CHANNEL: Enabled only for the antenna and cable option, where you can select the The TV should always turn on.
Note: Only a previously tuned channel can be selected and enabled.
BACKUP Options that work together to transfer data set to 1 device for DATE other handsets of the same model.
BASE Procedure for data transfer:  NO REFERENCE:
UPDATE 1 - Connect a formatted USB flash drive to one of the USB ports
DATE 2 - Select the BACKUP DATABASE Option and press> to make the connection
BASE pen drive > TV
3 - In this line the picture CONNECTED will appear when the connection is finished;
4 - The TV will turn off and stay in standby mode. When the power off is because the data has already been copied to the thumb drive, and it may be disconnected from the TV.
IN THE APPARATUS THAT WILL RECEIVE THE COPY:
1 - Connect the pen drive with the data of the reference device to the USB input of the TV;
2 - Follow the procedure to enter hotel mode;
3 - Select the UPDATE DATABASE option to copy the information to the TV.
Pen drive;
4 - The TV will turn off and on again at the input determined in the hotel mode.
Grades:
- On devices that will receive data from the reference device, it should not be selected the BACKUP DATABASE option. If this option is selected the data will be

How to enter test mode
While holding the FM key and preset 6 key and reset the unit.  All display segments light up when the test mode is entered.
How to exit from test mode
Reset the unit.
Turning ACC off, power off, momentary power down or panel detaching does not terminate the test mode.
Test mode specifications of CD receiver
* Pressing the Track Up key skip to tracks in the following sequence:
No.9  No.15  No.10  No.11  No.12  No.13  No.14
 No.9 (repeats the cycle)
* Pressing the Track Down key skip to the track immediately before the track being played.
* Pressing Preset 1 key skip to track No. 28.
* Forced ejection is not provided.
Audio functions
* Pressing the AUDIO key or the “*” key on the remote controller initiates the Audio adjustment mode.
* In the Audio adjustment mode, the Seek Up/Down keys on the remote controller can only be pressed shortly. (They cannot be held depressed.)
* The volume is -10dB (which is displayed as “30”).
* LOUDNESS is OFF.
* The Bass/Treble Up/Down and Balance/Fader Up/Down buttons function as full-boost/full-cut and full-front/full-rear respectively.
Menu mode (for 14segment model)
* Pressing the CLK or the DNPP key on the remote controller initiates the Menu mode.
* In the Menu mode, the Seek Up/Down keys on the remote controller can only be pressed shortly. (They cannot be held depressed.)
* With the models incorporating RDS, the first operation in the menu becomes local seek.
Version and operating hours display
* The following table shows the key operations and resulting display information.
* Holding Preset 3 while the operating hour information is displayed clears it.
* Holding Preset 5 while the ejection count information is displayed clears it.

Adjustment procedure
1. Enter the IC10 Adjustment mode by resetting the unit while holding preset 3 key + preset 6 key.
2. Select the TUNER source by pressing SRC.
3. When the adjustment mode is entered, the display shows 2-digit hex number.
4. When preset 1~5 is recalled, the setting values corresponding to the pressed number are displayed. (The displayed values are those in the RAM.)
5. Vary each setting value using |<< and >>| key.
6. Store the values in the corresponding preset number.
7. The settings can be performed individually for each item.  (It is not required to store all the values together.)
8. After storing the values, reset the unit to exit from the adjustment mode. The values set in the EEPROM will be read during the resetting.
9. When the band is switched, there may be cases in which the preset number being displayed does not coincide with the stored setting value. To check this, be sure to recall the
preset number after you switch the band.
Notes
1. The items that are not stored will be set to the default values.
2. Once a value is stored in memory, the value will always be used later.
(It is not allowed to modify the setting values by switching the destination type.)

Service Mode Menus
Since there are no VRs in the K15A chassis, all adjustments after parts replacement must be done in the Service Mode. Service Mode adjustments are necessary when either the EEPROM (IC902) or the CRT is replaced.
Entering the Service Mode
Press the following transmitter keys while in STAND-BY mode:
MUTE > 1 > 8 >2 > POWER
“Factory Mode Menu” is displayed.
Enter Service Mode using the Volume + / - keys.
Select a mode to be adjusted, using the channel down key.
Change the data with “Volume + / -- “ keys.
Return to the Service mode by pressing MENU.
Return to the Factory mode via the MENU key.
Press POWER to enter the Stand-by mode.

Adjustment in Option Mode
This adjustment is necessary whenever the EEPROM is replaced. Input data (as marked on the back cabinet).
Select “SET OPTION” by pressing the Channel “Dn” key twice.
Press the Volume + / -- keys to enter the set Option mode.
Press MENU to go back to the factory mode.
Select RESET with channel “Dn” key.
Press volume + key. [Power Off].
Service Mode Adjustments
1. The Pattern Adjustment is done only in the factory. Do not attempt to readjust it.
2. Refer to 4-2 for other adjustments.
3. Set OPTION data.
Service Mode Adjustment Ratings
General Alignment
Usually, a color TV needs only slight touch-up adjustment upon installation. Check the basic characteristics such as picture height, focus and a horizontal and vertical sync.
Observe the picture and check for good back and white details. There should be no objectionable color shading: If color shading is present, demagnetize the receiver. If color shading persists, perform purity and convergence adjustments.
Power Supply Check
A: Power plug is connected; “Stand-by” mode
B: Power On when “Power ON” button is pressed
C: Power On by FBT Each supply is marked on its lead-in wire.
Fail Safe Circuit Check (FS) (OPTION)
1. The fail-safe check must be the final step in servicing.
2. Turn the power switch ON and adjust customer controls for normal operation.
3. Temporarily short pin X to pin R on the main board (RX06, RX04) with a jumper wire.  Raster will disappear.
4. The TV must remain in this state even after removing the jumper wire. This shows that the failsafe circuit is working properly.
5. To recover picture and sound, temporarily turn off the TV and allow the failsafe circuit more than 30 seconds to reset. Then switch power ON to produce normal picture and sound.
IC902 Replacement
1. When IC902 is replaced, all values are reset to “Initialized MICOM Data” and readjustment is necessary.
2. Press the POWER button 10 seconds after plug-in.
RF-AGC Adjustment
1. Input a PHILLIPS pattern.
2. Set the input signal to 60 dB.
3. Enter into the AGC in the service mode.
4. Adjust AGC until color bar noise disappears.
Sub-Contrast Adjustment
1. Input a gray scale pattern. Use a pattern generator (PM5518).
2. Short D208 to switch off the ABL feed-back.
3. Check CN201 R-OUT with an oscilloscope.
4. Set RC, BC, GC data to 0 in the Service Mode.
5. Adjust SCT to 2.40 ± 0.1Vp-p
6. Remove the short across D208 and restore ABL.
Sub-Tint Adjustment
1. Input a rainbow pattern.
2. Check CN201 B-OUT with an oscilloscope.
3. Adjust STT in the service mode until the 6th peak is the highest and the 5th and 7th peaks have equal heights.
Sub-Color Adjustment
1. Do sub-color adjustment after the SubContrast and Sub-Tint adjustments.
2. D208 should still be shorted. The ABL should still be switched OFF.
3. Input a color bar pattern. Use a pattern generator (PM5518).
4. Check CN201 R-OUT (use an oscilloscope).
5. Ensure that the RC, GC and BC data are 0.  BG are 140 and GG should be 90.
6. Adjust SCR to 2.4 ± 0.1Vp-p (black and red levels).
7. Remove the short across D208 and restore ABL.
White Balance Adjustment
LOW-LIGHT ADJUSTMENTS
1. Input either a lion head or “pure white” color pattern.
2. Operate the receiver for 30 minutes.
3. Check the data in the service mode:
RC, GC, BC are 0 and SB is 16; Steps BG are 90 and GG are 140.
4. Enter the horizontal line mode by pressing the MUTE key.
5. Adjust the screen VR on the FBT until a dim colored line (red, green or blue) appears on the screen.
6. After pressing the MUTE key, go to RC,BC or GC with channel UP|Dn, keys. After putting a dim colored line (red, green or blue) in the horizontal line with MUTE key, adjust color with volume Up|Dn , keys.
7. Exit the horizontal line via the MUTE key.
HIGH-LIGHT ADJUSTMENTS
1. Input a high-light pattern
2. Adjust GG,BG in the Service Mode.
3. Recheck in low light.
Sub-Brightness Adjustment
1. Input a Toshiba pattern.
2. Warm up the receiver for 10 minutes.
3. Enter the Service Mode and set SB to the point where the 5th point is brighter in the gray scale.
Vertical Size Adjustment
1. Input a lion head pattern.
2. After the vertical center adjustment, enter into the service mode.
3. Adjust VA so that the each top and bottom of the screen is 4.0. If the top and bottom values are different, adjust VA so that the sum of the two values is 8.0.
Horizontal Size Adjustment
1. Receive a lion head pattern.
2. Enter into the service mode.
3. Adjust HS to symmetrized right and left
When CRT Is Replaced
Do the following adjustments after the basic purity and convergence adjustments.
1. White Balance
2. Sub-brightness
3. Vertical Size
4. Horizontal Size
5. Fail safe (should be the final step).

POWER ON TIME/COUNT
To display TIME/COUNT menu, highlight position, then press MUTE for 3sec.
Time : Cumulative power on time, indicated hour : minute by decimal
Count : Number of ON times by decimal
Note : This indication will not be cleared by either of the self-check or any command.
Exit
Disconnect the AC cord from wall outlet or switch off the power with the [POWER] button on the main unit.
Hotel mode
Purpose: To restrict a function for hotels.
Access command to the Hotel mode setup menu
In order to display the Hotel mode setup menu, enter the following command (within 2 second).
[TV] : Vol. [Down] + [REMOTE] : AV (3 times).
The Hotel mode setup menu is displayed.
To exit the Hotel mode setup menu Disconnect AC power cord from wall outlet or switch off the power with the [POWER] button on the main unit.

Self-check indication only:
Produce TV reception screen, and while pressing [VOLUME ( - )] button on the main unit, press [OK] button on the remote control for more than 3 seconds.

Subject: Information of LED Flashing timing chart.

HOW TO INITIALIZE THE LCD TELEVISION
1. Turn the power on.
2. To enter the service mode, press the service button on the service remote control unit.
3. Press [INFO] button on the service remote control unit to initialize the LCD television.
4. "INITIALIZED" will appear in the upper right of the screen. "INITIALIZED" color will change to green from red when initializing is complete.
- To cancel the service mode, press [POWER] button on the remote control unit.
How to make the Service remote control unit:
Cut “A” portion of the attached remote control unit as shown.
To set up the service mode
1. Use the service remote control unit.
2. Turn the power on.
3. Press the service button on the service remote control unit. The following screen appears.
Purity Check
This mode cycles through full-screen displays of red, green, blue, and white to check for non-active pixels.
1. Enter the Service mode.
2. Each time pressing [7] button on the service remote control unit, the display changes.
VCOM Adjustment.
1. Operate the unit for more than 20 minutes.
2. Set the color analyzer and bring the optical receptor to the center on the LCD-Panel surface after zero point calibration as shown above.
Note: The optical receptor must be set perpendicularly to the LCD Panel surface.
3. Enter the Service mode.
4. Press [2] button on the service remote control unit.
5. Press [CH Up|Dn] buttons on the service remote control unit so that the color analyzer value becomes minimum.

White Balance Adjustment
To mix red, green and blue beams correctly for pure white.
Symptom of Misadjustment: White becomes bluish or reddish.
Operate the unit for more than 20 minutes.
2. Input the White Raster(70%=70IRE, 25%=25IRE)
3. Set the color analyzer to the CHROMA mode and bring the optical receptor to the center on the LCD-Panel surface after zero point calibration as shown above.
Note: The optical receptor must be set perpendicularly to the LCD Panel surface.
4. Enter the Service mode. Press [VOL. n] button on the service remote control unit and select “C/D” mode.
5. [CUTOFF]
Press [3] button to select “COB” for Blue Cutoff adjustment. Press [1] button to select “COR” for Red Cutoff adjustment.
[DRIVE]
Press [6] button to select “DB” for Blue Drive adjustment. Press [4] button to select “DR” for Red Drive adjustment.
6. In each color mode, press [CH Up|Dn] buttons to adjust the values of color.
7. Adjust Cutoff and Drive so that the color temperature becomes 12000°K (x= 0.272 / y=0.278 ±0.005).
