Replacement Method Noise related (FAN & Color wheel &
circuit high frequency noise)
1).
If it is decided that there is (abnormal) noise in the SET High possibility of
defect FAN
a.
Adjust remote controller In-start -> enter Fan control to verify information
of each Fan.
b.
Adaptive control Enable turn OFF, and adjust voltage by ± 1~2V for Fan suspected
of high noise or for each FAN, and verify increase/decrease of noise.
c.
If it is judged that noise is detected quickly by increase or decrease of
certain Fan Voltage, disassemble SET and verify if there is any interfering
object (cable or foreign object) around the Fan, and if none, replace with new
FAN
d.
Need to verify if it matches “FAN location and direction” information mentioned
in the previous chapter during the replacement of FAN.
e.
Perform b category again and check if it is enhanced.
2).
If it could not be found by No. 1 category * High possibility of defect Color
wheel
Case 1.
Screen is normal
1. Turn on the SET, and remove power cord immediately.
2. After inserting the power cord and turning the SET ON, verify the noise occurrence when FAN rotates for about 1~2 min. and Lamp is turned on.
3. If noise occurs here, Color wheel defect is suspected (Refer to the previous chapter Part replacement – C/W, verify status and replace)
Case 2. Screen is abnormal or not displayed
1. Verify existence of noise by No. 1, 2 contents of Case 1
3. If noise occurs here , Color wheel defect is suspected.
3). If it is a sharp high frequency noise while it is not Fan or C/W defect
It is mostly circuit Noise, and there is a possibility that it occurred by aging of Main board or certain parts of PSU, so CHECK this part in detail.
If it is not any of the above cases, high frequency Noise may occur due to the characteristics of LAMP, so replace LAMP if necessary.
