Software check and upgrade
Preparation to upgrade software
1) Start the CD burning software & create a folder named "UPG_ALL",
2) Then copy the Bin file (BDP3XXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX.bin) into it,
3) Burn the data onto the blank CD.
Procedure for software upgrade
Upgrade software via Disc
1) Power on the set and insert the prepared Upgrade CDR.
2) The set will starts reading disc & response with the following display TV screen:
Now searching for upgrade software!
Please wait…!
3) Then screen will display :
Software upgrades for this player has been found! Do you want to upgrade?
                        Cancel                             Start
4) Press Right cursor button to choose "Start", then press <OK>;
5) The software will updagrde and screen will display as below:
Upgrade is ongoing, Please wait…
Please do not unplug or switch off the device.
6) Restart the set.
Update software via USB Flash Drive:
1) Go to www.philips.com/support to check if the latest software version is available for this player.
2) Download the software onto a USB flash drive's root DIR named "UPG_ALL".
3) Insert the USB flash drive to the USB jack of the rear panel.
4) In the Home menu, select <Setup> <Advanced> <Software update> <USB>.
5) Then press OK
6) you'll see now searching for new software, please wait.......
7) Waiting, the you'll see "software for this player has been found ......"
8) Then select "Start" and press "OK"
9) then you'll see "upgrade is ongoing ......", wait until it ends.
10) Player will restart automatically or press "Restart now" to restart, after restarting the upgrade ends.
Read out the software versions to confirm upgrading
4) In homemenu,enter "setup > advanced > version info", press "OK" 
an other information will display on the TV screen as below:

Caution: The set must not be power off during upgrading; otherwise the Main board will be damaged entirely.
> The instructions above is only for MKII version of BDP3200 and set with Series No. starting from GS2xxxxxxxxxx.
> BDP3200 not need alignment between Blu-ray Loader and Main Board, you can replace the defective loader or Main Board by new one directly.

Samsung LED LCD TV – how to enter service mode – firmware upgrade

Entering Factory Mode
To enter ‘Service Mode’ Press the remote -control keys in this sequence :
If you do not have Factory remote - control
Power OFF > INFO > MENU > MUTE > Power ON
If you have Factory remote - control
INFO > FACTORY KEY
Using the Customer Remote
1. Turn the power off and set to stand-by mode.
2. Press the remote buttons in this order; POWER OFF- INFO - MENU - MUTE to turn the set on.
3. The set turns on and enters service mode. This may take approximately 20 seconds.
4. Press the Power button to exit and store data in memory.
- If you fail to enter service mode, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.

USB Download Method (Main SW & e-Manual)
Samsung may offer upgrades for TV’s firmware in the future.
Upgrades will be possible by connecting a USB drive to the USB port located on your TV.
1. Insert a USB drive containing the firmware (T-MSU4DEUC) upgrade into the USB port on the rear of the TV.
2. Press the MENU button to display the menu. Press the Up/Dn button to select "Support", then press the ENTER button.
3. Press the or button to select "Software Upgrade", then press the ENTER button to select "By USB". The message "Scanning for USB. It may take up to 1 minute." is displayed.
4. The message "Upgrade version XXXX to version XXXX?
The system will be reset after upgrade." is displayed.
Press the or to select the "OK", then press the ENTER button.
Please be careful to not disconnect the power or remove the USB drive while upgrades are being applied. The TV will turn off and turn on automatically after completing the firmware upgrade.
Please check the firmware version after the upgrades are complete. When software is upgraded, video and audio settings you have made will return to their default (factory) settings.
Write down your settings so that you can easily reset them after the upgrade.
How To Upgrade Sub Micom
Sub S/W (in Factory mode)
If you don't have DDC Manager, Use this method.
1. Into the Factory Mode.
2. Select "SVC". (Use > button.)
3. Select "MICOM UPGRADE off". (use > button.)
4. If message change from "off" to "wait", TV is upgrading Sub S/W. (It takes about 5 min.)
5. If update completes, TV set will booting automatically.

Samsung UE26D4003 LED LCD TV Troubleshooting

The LEDs on the front panel do not work when connecting the power cord.
 The SMPS relay does not work when connecting the power cord.
  The units appears to be dead.
The IP relay or the LEDs on the front panel does not work when connecting the power cord if the cables are improperly connected or the Main Board or SMPS is not functioning. In this case, check the following:
 Check the internal cable connection status inside the unit.
 Check the fuses of each part.
 Check the output voltage of SMPS.
 Replace the Main Board.
Audio is normal but no picture is displayed on the screen.
- Check the HDMI source.
- Check the HDMI switch, Check the Main Chipset.
- This may happen when the LVDS cable connecting the Main Board and the Panel is disconnected.
Audio is normal but no picture is displayed on the screen.
- Check the Tuner CVBS source.
- Check the Tuner, Check the Main Chipset.
- This may happen when the LVDS cable connecting the Main Board and the Panel is disconnected.
Audio is normal but no picture is displayed on the screen.
- Check the DTV source.

Preparation to upgrade software
1) Start the CD Burning software and create a new CD project (Data Disc) with the following setting:
Label: DVP3XXX (No need the label name)
File Name: DVPXXXX_XX.BIN
Power on the set and open the tray, then press <5><5> to check the File Name.
Note: It is required capital letter for the File System name.
2) Burn the data onto a blank CDR
Procedure for software upgrade:
1) Power on the set and insert the prepared Upgrade
CDR.
2) The set will starts reading disc & response with the following display TV screen:
Upgrade File DETECTED
Upgrade?
Press Play TO START.
3) Press <OK> button to confirm, then screen will display:
Files coping…
UPGRADING…
4) The upgraded tray will automatically open when files coping complete, then take out the disc.
5) About 1 minute later, the trace will automatically close when upgrading complete.
Caution: The set must not be power off during upgrading; Otherwise the Main board will be damaged permanantely.
Read out the software versions to confirm upgrading
1) Power on the set and press <Setup> button on the remote control.
2) Press <1> <3> <7> <9> button. [Service Mode]
The software version and other information are display on the TV screen as follows:

Self-Diagnosis Function
This DVD player has two types of self-diagnosis function for differing operation methods:
(1) Self-diagnosis started automatically when power is turned on
(2) Self-diagnosis activated when test mode is selected by pressing buttons on player
Conditions for engaging self-diagnosis
The following conditions must be satisfied to start and complete self-diagnosis:
(1) No disc loaded.
(2) Power cord unplugged after self-diagnosis is complete.
Self-diagnosis started automatically when power is turned on
(1) ATAPI bus not yet connected
If DVD-ROM drive is not connected, “Err 0009” will appear in the display of player.
Unplug the power cord and check the connection of ATAPI cable.
(2) When program is not yet stored in flash memory on DEC board:
Tray will open, close and then open.
Unplug the power cord and check the DEC board.
Self-diagnosis engaged by pressing the buttons on player
Simultaneously hold down the SKIP >> and POWER buttons on player for 5 seconds, and then press the PLAY button.
The player will enter the automatic DEC board self-diagnosis mode.
If the DEC board is normal, “0001” will appear in the display for 2 seconds, and then “0002” for 2 seconds: This indication will be repeated.
If error is detected, “Err 01” or “Err 02” will appear.
Err 01: R/W error, 4 Mbit connected to SH
Err 02: R/W error, 32 Mbit connected to ZIVA
Self-diagnosis will stop when it first detects error.
That is, if “Err 01” is displayed, item for “Err 002” will not be diagnosed.
Simultaneously hold down the << SKIP and POWER buttons on player for 5 seconds.
The player will enter the selective DEC board self-diagnosis mode.
When this mode is entered, the appropriate menu should appear on the TV screen.
If this screen does not appear, there is a problem in the display system: Carefully check the circuits related to video encoder.

Flash ROM software version display, error display, etc.
Press the VIRTUAL SURROUND button on player and, while holding it down, simultaneously press and hold down the POWER button for 5 seconds.
The software version of flash ROM will appear (P00xx, xxx).
Pressing the cursor up/down buttons on remote control or player will display the player internal data.
The cursor left/right buttons on remote control or player are used for P00 (-P5) <-> P10 (-19) and P10 (-19) <-> P20 (-P99)

If “no PLAY” appears in the display
The following lists the possible causes of “no PLAY” display (and “Disc Error” in OSD):
a-f of “aP20 bcdef” that appears in the display are defined in bits (displayed in octal notation).

  The Sanken concept is used for power supply. Sanken SRTW6252 is designed. The receiver works between 85 and 265 VAC mains voltage by using STRW6252. In SMPS applications, secondary voltage regulation is adjusted according to the feedback voltage from the secondary side of transformer. The feedback voltages are 3.3V and 5V. This is connected to the comparator pin of STRW6252 via IC2 (Opto-coupler). The comparator pin also protects the box against short circuits and overload. The supply voltage of STRW6252 is between 8.9V 17V at pin 4.

The Reference sub-woofer amplifiers are single-channel amplifiers. There are two sets of terminals to make it easy to connect multiple woofers. Either set of (+/–) terminals may be used when connecting woofers.  To the right are four application diagrams to help plan your sub-woofer system installation.  NOTE: For simplicity, Figures 3 and 4 do not show power, remote and input connections.
SETTING THE CROSSOVER(S)
Determine your system plans and set the crossover-mode switch accordingly. If your system design does not include a subwoofer, set the crossover mode to FULL and skip to “Setting Input Sensitivity.”
If your system includes a subwoofer, set the crossover mode to HP (high-pass) for your full-range speakers. Adjust the crossover frequency to limit bass, and provide increased system volume with less distortion.

CAUSE and SOLUTION: No voltage at BATT+ and/or REM terminals, or bad or no ground connection. Check voltages at amplifier terminals with VOM.
No audio (PROTECT LED glows red).
CAUSE and SOLUTION: DC voltage on amplifier output. Amplifier may need service; see enclosed warranty card for service information.
No audio (PROTECT LED glows red).
CAUSE and SOLUTION: Amplifier is overheated.  Make sure amplifier cooling is not blocked at mounting location; verify that speaker-system impedance is within specified limits.
No audio (PROTECT LED glows red).
CAUSE and SOLUTION: Voltage less than 9V on BATT+ connection. Check vehicle charging system.
No audio (PROTECT LED glows red).
CAUSE and SOLUTION: Voltage greater than 16V or less than 8.5V on BATT+ connection.  Check vehicle charging system.
PROBLEM: Distorted audio.
CAUSE and SOLUTION: Input sensitivity is not set properly, or amplifier or source unit is defective. Check INPUT LEVEL setting, or check speaker wires for shorts or grounds.
Distorted audio (PROTECT LED glows intermittently).
CAUSE and SOLUTION: Short circuit in speaker or wire. Remove speaker leads one at a time to locate shorted speaker or wire, then repair.
Music lacks “punch.”
CAUSE and SOLUTION: Speakers are not connected properly. Check speaker connections for proper polarity.
