To make this set region free, first you have to prepare its remote control by programming it. Do the following steps.
These proceedings are to prepare a One for All remote control
1. Press "DVD" button.
2. Press and Hold the "Magic" button, until the DVD button flashes two times.
3. Enter digits [0533].
4. Press and Hold the 'Magic' button again, until it flashes two times.
5. Enter digits [994].
6. Press the 'Magic' key once. Do not Hold it.
7. Enter digits [00189].
This 5 digit code should be used, if your one for all remote has 5 digit setup codes. If it has four digit, or three digit setup codes, eliminate the first 'Zeros'. For example, if your One for all remote has three digit setup codes use [189]. If it has four digit setup codes, use [0189]. If it has five digit setup codes, use [00189].
8. Enter digit [1]. This sets key-1, and it will flash two times.
9. Press and Hold "Magic" button, until it flashes two times.
10. Enter digits [994].
11. Press 'Magic' key once. do not Hold it at this time.
12. Enter digits [00255]. Here too, enter the number according to number of setup digits, as described above.
13. Enter digit [2]. This sets key-2, and it will flash two times.
14. Press and Hold the 'majic' button, until it flashes two times.
15. Enter digits [994].
16. Press 'Magic' key once. do not hold it.
17. Enter digits [00095]. Here too, enter the number according to number of setup digits as described above.
18. Enter digit [3]. This sets key-3, and it will flash two times.
19. Press and Hold the "Magic" button, until it flashes two times.
20. Enter digit [994].
21. Press "Magic" key once. Do not hold it.
22. Enter digit [00221]. Here too, enter the number according to number of setup digits as described above.
23. Enter digit [4]. This sets key-4, and it will flash two times.
24. Press and Hold the "Magic" button until it flashes two times.
25. Enter digit [994].
26. Press 'Magic' key once. do not hold it.
27. Enter digit [0079].
28. Enter digit [5]. This sets key-5, and it will flash two times.
These are the key setting method for your remote control, so that it can communicate with your Blu-Ray player. This should be done very carefully. Before proceeding read instructions up to this, at least two times, so that you will get an idea about what to do for key-settings according to a one for all remote, which has only 3 digit setup codes, 4 digit setup codes, and 5 digit setup codes.
Now your One For All remote has been programmed.
1. Use the original remote that comes with the player, to bring the player out of 'Standby'. There should be no disc in tray. If is, take it out.
2. Enter [1-2-3-4-5], with One for all remote.The 24p light will start to flash.
3. Put the player back to "Standby" mode, using the orginal remote control.
4. Unplug the player from AC mains wall socket.
Next time when you turn ON the player, it will be region free for DVD disc play. This process do not make it region free to Blu-Ray. Region hack to Blu-Ray is yet to come.
