HOW TO REPLACE COLOR WHEEL TO DLP TVs - 2

cont :-2

Locate the color wheel cover.  It will have a small circuit board on the top of it with blue/black wires connected to it.  Remove the plug.  Remove the two cables coming to color wheel. One will be copper coloured ribbon cable. Slide it out. The other is the cable with two white, and one blue wire.  Use a jewellers' screw driver to detach it.  Do not pull it hard.

There is enough slack in the wire to route it around cover, when removing it.  Can unplug the wire for old color wheel and plug it in new one; the plastic tab will break off the old connector, when you go to remove it will still fit snugly on the new color wheel.

Unscrew the color wheel cover.  There are three holdings in place.  One to the rear of the set, and two in front.  Unscrew them carefully left them in place and pull them out with the cover.  Slide the cover straight up.  This will expose the color wheel.

Remove the bad color wheel.  There are three holding screws. Remove the wheel by lifting the front edge and slide it towwars the front.

Insert the new color wheel.  Do not touch the color wheel.  Using hand gloves is recomended.  Put the color wheel cover back. Put all guts back in place.
