HOW TO SYNCHRONISE UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROS TO TVs



These are the proceedings to synchronise most of the universal remote controls.  Find the code to your device, from the code list of the remote control [attached document].

# Press and Hold the "Setup" button on the remote control, until the red indicator on it stays lit, and relese "Setup" button.

# Press and Release the desired "Mode" button, [TV,DVD,VCR etc:-].  The red indicator on the remote control will blink once, and then will stay lighted.

# Enter the code for your device using digit buttons on the remote control.  After a valid entry, the indicator will turn OFF.  If the entered code is invalid, the indicator will flash.  You have to try an other code now.
(NB: Before trying an other code, the device to which the remote code should be synchronised, must turn OFF by its main power switch and must turn it back.)

# If the indicator switches OFF after a code entry, press CH+ OR CH-ve  button on the remote control.  If the unit responds to these actions, no further programming is desired.
If some button/s does not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your device.  Select the code, which has maximum functionality.

If your device do not respond to any given codes, just try a Code Search Method.

1. Manually turn ON the device to be controlled.
2. Press and Hold the "Setup" button, until the red indicator on the remote stays ON.  Release the Setup Button.
3. Press and Release the desired Mode button, as described above. The red indicator will blink once and will stay lighted.
4. Press the "CH UP"  button repeteadely, until the device to be controlled will chage channel.  Do this with patience.  Sometimes, you might press this button upto 300 times or so.

Identifying codes found using the code search procedure.

* Press and Hold the SETUP until the LED indicator lights up steadily.  Release setup button.
* Press the Mode button that matches the equipment you want to identify.
* Press and Release "SETUP". The LED will blink once.
* To find the first digit, press each number button from "0" to "9" until the LED blinks.  The number you presse is the first digit of the code.
* Press each number button from "0" to "9" again as above to find the second digit.
* Press each number button from "0" to "9" again as above to find the third digit.
* Press each number button from "0" to "9" again as above to find the fourth digit.  When the fourth digit has been found. the LED will switch OFF automatically.
