PANASONIC TC37LX80LB SERVICE MODE - LED BLINKING CODES

TO ENTER SERVICE MODE
  • Select channel '99'.
  • Set 'Timer" for 30 minutes.
  • Press "Recall" button on the remote control, and [Down] button on the TV panel. [Do not forget to press the [Function] panel of the device before pressing the [Down].
  • Press 'Red' button on the remote control to make adjustments.
  • Enter into Service Mode-1, select [CEC CHK] and press the [Hold] button on the remote control to enter Service Mode-2.
METHOD OF SELF DIAGNOSIS
  1. Press the "Timer" button on the remote control and [Down] panel of the TV.
  2. Press "Power" on the remote control to 'EXIT".
HOTEL MODE
  1. Press the [Down] panel of the TV, while pressing  [TV | AV , TV/AV]  on the remote control.
  2. Press the 'Menu' button on the remote control to 'Exit' Function Mode Hotel.
COMMAND BUTTONS
Service Mode-1
  • Press the [Green | Red] to move between functions.
  • Press [Yellow | Blue] to change data values.
  • Press "OK" button after each adjustment to record the new value.
Service Mode-2
  • Press [Red | Green] to select an item to adjust.
  • Press [1] or [2] to select the "bit" '0' or '1'.
  • Press "OK" button after each adjustment to record the new value.
SELF DIAGNOSIS FUNCTION
     When defects are reported as "Power failure occasionally" or "Video/audio fails from time to time" and cannot be confirmed at the time of repair, the self diagnosis function can be used to confirm these occurrences and indicate of limit the scope of  the circuits to be examined.  Some programmed channels, channels caption data and some other settings or user settings may return to factory setting.

When there is an abnormality in the unit, the protection cirucit will reset the unit to Standby mode. At this time, the bad block can be identified by the number of times blinking the LED on the front panel power unit.
