This Air Conditioner is a new type which adopts a new refrigerant
HFC (R410A) instead of the conventional refrigerant R22 in order to prevent
destruction of the ozone layer.
A direct current motor is adopted for indoor fan motor in the
Concealed Duct Standard Type air conditioner.
Caused from its characteristics, a current limit works on the direct
current motor. When replacing the high performance filter or when opening the
service board, be sure to stop the fan. If an above action is executed during
the fan operation, the protective control works to stop the unit operation, and
the check code “P12” may be issued. However it is not a trouble. When the
desired operation has finished, be sure to reset the system to clear “P12”
error code using the leak breaker of the indoor unit. Then push the operation
stop button of the remote controller to return to the usual operation.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Before troubleshooting
1. Required tools/instruments
> + and – screwdrivers, spanners, radio cutting pliers, nippers, push pins for reset switch
> Tester, thermometer, pressure gauge, etc.
Confirmation points before check
a. The following operations are normal.
Compressor does not operate.
> Is not 3-minutes delay (3 minutes after compressor OFF)?
> Does not thermostat turn off?
> Does not timer operate during fan operation?

Compressor does not operate.
> Is not 3-minutes delay (3 minutes after compressor OFF)?
> Does not thermostat turn off?
> Does not timer operate during fan operation?
> Is not outside high-temperature operation
controlled in heating operation?
Indoor fan does not rotate.
Does not cool air discharge preventive control work in heating operation?

Troubleshooting procedure
When a trouble occurred, check the parts along with the following procedure.
When a trouble occurred, check the parts along with the following procedure.
Trouble > Confirmation of check code
display > Check defective position and parts.
For cause of a trouble, power conditions or malfunction/erroneous
diagnosis of microcomputer due to outer noise is considered except the items to
be checked. If there is any noise source, change the cables of the remote
controller to shield cables.

Outline of judgement
The primary judgement to check where a trouble occurred in indoor unit or outdoor unit is performed with the following method.
Method to judge the erroneous position by flashing indication on the display part of indoor unit (sensors of the receiving unit)
The indoor unit monitors operating status of the air conditioner, and the blocked contents of self-diagnosis are displayed restricted to the following cases if a protective circuit works.
