SONY VGN-C SERIES LAPTOPS - HOW TO REMOVE THE CPU

Remove 2 screws.
Loosen one retain screw.
Rotate the CPU cover from the top.
Disconnect the Fan Cable.
Remove 4 screws from the fan & 4 screws from the heat-sink.

Lift the fan straight UP. 
Rotate the heat-sink towards the edge of the system and remove.
Unlock the CPU socket by rotating the lock to the left with a flat-blade screwdriver.
Carefully lift the CPU up.
