- Turn ON the printer
- Lift the ink cartridge door.
Remove each ink cartridge from its package, and install each
ink cartridge in its respective color-coded socket.
INSTALLING CARTRIDGES
Press each ink cartridge firmly to ensure proper contact
after installation.

- Ensure that the printer is turned on.
- Lift the print head cover.
- Open the print head access latch and first pull it forward and then down. This releases the hook of the latch from the carriage lock.
- Lift and push the print head access latch toward the rear of the printer.
- Remove the package and protective tape from each print head.
- Insert each print head in its respective color-coded socket.
- Press each print head firmly to ensure proper contact after installation.
Close the print head and ink cartridge covers.
Wait until the printer initializes the print heads. When
initialization is complete, an alignment page prints.
