HOW TO ENTER SERVICE MODE TO PHILIPS [14-PV SERIES TV&VCR COMBINATION SETS]

HOW TO SETUP THE SERVICE MODE

After replacing memory IC [IC202] or Main CBA, the set value to memory IC will be lost.  So it is necessary to set up or adjust in the service mode after replacement.


SERVICE MODE

1. Turn ON the Power. Use main Power on the unit.
2. Press [Standby/On],[2],[7],[1], and Mute buttons on the remote control unit in the order within [Five] seconds. ( To cancel the service mode, press [Standby/On] button on the remote control.

HOW TO SETUP OPTION CODE

• Enter the service mode.
• Press the [Status/Exit] button on the remote control unit.  The option code appears on the display.
• If indeed, input the option code using number buttons on the remote control

To reset the software, press [Pause & 5] buttons on the remote control. The option code is changed.

CBA = is the abbrevation for Circuit Board Assembly.

 Electrical adjustments are required after replacing circuit components and certain mechanical parts. It is important to perform these adjustments only after all repairs and replacements have been completed.

THE MAIN SECONDARY VOLTAGE TO LINE OUTPUT TRANSFORMER FROM SMPS POWER SUPPLY IS [+105+/- 0.5DC]

CAN BE ADJUSTED BY [VR 601] AT POWER REGULATOR SECTION.
