HOW TO ENTER SERVICE MODE TO JVC & HITACHI TELEVISIONS

HITACHI TVs

• Turn the TV on.
• Press ‘Menu’, ‘Menu’, ‘8’, ‘Select’ buttons on the remote control.
• The service mode will be displayed.
• Use ▲/▼ buttons to select items.
• Use ‘left’, ‘right’ buttons to change the data value to selected item.
• Press the ‘Exit’ button to exit the service menu.

• Turn Off the TV.
• Press and Hold ‘Input’ button on the TV, then press ‘Power’.
• Hold both buttons until the TV powers ON, with service menu displayed.
• Use ▲/▼ buttons to select items.
• Use ‘left’, ‘right’ buttons to change data values.
• Press ‘Edit’ button to exit the service menu.

• Turn the TV OFF.
• Press ‘Power’, & ‘Input’ buttons on the TV for more than 3 seconds.
• The service menu will be displayed.
• The letter “P” indicates picture and “A” indicates audio.
• Use ▲/▼ buttons to select items.
• Use ‘right’, ‘left’ buttons to change data.
• Press ‘Exit’ key to exit the service mode.

JVC PLASMA, LCD, CRT, RPTV

• Press the ‘Menu’ button, and go to the user menu screen, make sure that the indicator [arrow] is pointed and hilights the “Picture Control”
• The buttons on the top of the remote are set to TV & VCR respectively.
• Set sleep timers’ to ‘0’ minutes and while it is displayed, simultaneously press the “Video Status” & “Display” buttons.
• The main service menu will be displayed with choices 1 through 9.
• Press one of the corresponding number keys to enter that menu.
• Use the channel ▲/▼ buttons to navigate within a menu.
• Use volume ▲/▼ buttons to change the data values.
• Press ‘Muting’ button to memorize and to save the changed data value.
• Use the ‘Back’ button to ‘Exit’ the service menu.

• Turn ON the TV.
• Press ‘Display’ & ‘Picture Mode’ buttons on the remote control simultaneously.
• The service mode will be displayed.
• Use number keys to select the category.
• Use the ▲/▼ buttons to enter a category.
• Use ‘Left’ , ‘Right’ buttons to select the items.
• Use ▲/▼ buttons to change the data values.
• Press “Display” button ‘TWICE’ to exit the service mode.

• Press the ‘Menu’ button.
• Select ‘Clock Set’
• Set clock to 3:21AM and press ‘Start Clock’
• While a “Thank You” message is displayed on screen, press “Mute” & “Menu” buttons.
• The service menu will be displayed.
• Use ▲/▼ to select items.
• Use ‘Left’ / ‘Right’ to change the data values.
• Turn OFF the TV to EXIT service mode.
