SPORTSART - T680 - TREADMILL _ ERROR CODES _EXPLANATIONS_TROUBLESHOOTING

ERROR CODE:  E_1_1 [MOTOR ENCODER ERROR]

Display shows E_1_1; unit does not operate.

Explanations:

Drive Board:

  • Turn on the unit power.  The drive board detects encoder signal.
  • After confirming the signal is OK, the drive board transmits the signal to the display.
  • The encoder signal is transmitted through the data cable.
  • After detecting the drive board signal, the display maintains communication with the drive board.
  • If the drive board does not detect the encoder signal E_1_1 appears on the display.
  • Encoder detects motor speed and direction.

Troubleshooting:

  1. Turn the unit Off and On.
  2. Inspect whether the encoder wire is connected to the drive board.
  3. Replace servo motor.
  4. Replace drive board.

                                                             DRIVE BOARD

                                                        AC SERVO MOTOR

ERROR: E_1_2 [MOTOR EXCESSIVE HEAT ERROR]

  • Display shows E_1_2_ , the overheat motor error message.  Unit operates at half speed.
  • Drive board detects thermal sensor signal and transmits that signal to display.
  • The thermal sensor signal travels via data cable.
  • The display detects the thermal sensor signal from the  drive board.
  • If the drive board doesn't detect a thermal sensor signal, the display shows E_1_2.
  • The thermal sensor detects motor temperature.  In normal operation, the sensor completes the circuit.  When the temperature rises the sensor become electrical open.

Troubleshooting

  1. Is thermal sensor wire connected properly?
  2. Is servo motor amp draw too high
  3. Replace the drive as test.
  4. Is walk belt worn or too tight?
  5. Has the machine been used for a long time without rest?  If so, shut off the unit 30 minutes to cool and check.

Follow the cable connected to the marked socket, to locate the position of thermal sensor.
