TOSHIBA 26HL84 SERVICE MODE - LED BLINKING CODES - SELF DIAGNOSIS


TO ENTER SERVICE MODE
  1. Press "Mute" button on the remote control once.  "1/2" Mute will be displayed on the screen.
  2. Press "Mute" button on the remote control again.  "Mute" will be displayed on the screen.
  3. Press "Menu" button on the 'TV', while pressing the "Mute" button on the remote control. "S" will appear on the screen, indicating that the set is in Service Mode.
  4. Press "Menu" button on the remote control.  Adjustment screen will appear on screen.

To "Exit" Service Mode, turn OFF the Power to TV or by remote control.
BUILT IN SIGNAL
  • When press the "Input" source selection button on the remote control during Service Mode generate the built-in test video signal for servicing.

ADJUSTMENT ITEMS
  1. Brightness Correction:  [1]  Receive a general broadcasting program.  Press the "Menu" button on the remote control, set the unicolor to minimum (00) and brightness to standard (00) in order to display the "Setting Menu" => "Picture Setting" => "Picture Adjustment" by pressing the Cursor [Up | Dn] & [Cursor Right | Left] buttons.  [2]  Select BRTC (Brightness Correction) using Cursor buttons "Ch up | Ch Dn" on the remote control, fine adjust the black signal to be black using "Vol Up | Vol Dn" buttons on the remote control.  After the adjustment, set 'Unicolor' back to initialize data.
  2. White Balance:  [1]  Enter the Service Mode, press 'Input" source setting button on the remote control to generate the built-in white signal.  [2]  Adjust the Data of items [RCUT, GCUT & BCUT] for proper white balanced picture in low light area. [For high light area [GDRV & RDRV items should be adjusted for proper White Balanced picture

Press [9] button on the remote control during display of adjustment menu in service mode.

  • Enter the service mode.
  • Press and Hold the "Recall" button on the remote control and then press the "Channel Up" button on the TV.  Initialization have been done.
