PANASONIC PLASMA TVs - Troubleshooting_ General proceedings _ Service Help

In the case of PDP, the picture problem at all over the screen [Picture noise, Full Vertical Line] is mainly caused by 'D' or 'DG(A)' board.  The test pattern is able to diagnose 'D' or 'DG(A)' board. Because the 'D' board had the Test Pattern.  So, can judge by using Test Pattern is defective.  Regarding diagnosis for these boards, confirm as follows:

Symptom;  Picture noise, Full vertical Line.

  1. Test Pattern abnormal >> 'D' Board.
  2. Test Pattern Normal >> 'DG' board or 'D' board {PZ Series TVs} | 'A' board or 'D' board >> {PX Series TVs}.
TO ENTER TEST PATTERN MODE
  • While pressing "Volume (Dn)" button on the 'TV' set, press "Recall" button on the remote control [3] times within {2} seconds.
  • Press [1] button on the remote control, several times, and select "Option" settings.
  • Press "OK" button of the remote control for {3} seconds or more to place the unit in the Test Pattern.
In case of No Picture problem, [Sound OK], the defective board is mainly 'DG(A)' or 'D' board.  But in this case, Test pattern is of no use to diagnose the problem, because there is no OSD on the screen.  Try this method to diagnose the problem.
  • After removing 'DG' connector, Power ON the set.
  • If there is White Picture >> 'DG' board or 'D' board will be faulty to {PZ Series} TVs.  'A' board or 'D' board might be defective to {PX Series} TVs.
