JVC - AV21J5EU AV21JT5EBU AV14AT5EU AV-14AT5EBU SERVICE MODE & ADJUSTMENTS



TO ENTER SERVICE MODE:   REMOTE CONTROL_48B00RMC71

  • Press 'Muting" key and "Recall" key of the remote control unit at the same time to display Service Menu screen.
  • To "Exit" from service mode, turn the power switch Off.
  • To call an item to adjust, use Prog [Up] | Prog [Dn] keys on the remote control. The item selected to adjust will be indicated by 'yellow' on the display.
  • To adjust the data value to selected item, use (<) or (>) key on the remote control.
  • After all the settings has been over, switch Off the Set.  The changed data values will be stored in memory automatically.
SET-UP OF JIG REMOTE CONTROL UNIT (PTU94023B) AND TRANSFER OF CONTROL CODE.
  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Set battery, while simultaneously pressing the <4,5 & 6> keys together.  When "43.00" appears on in the display window, set up is complete.
  3. Enter custom code.  For selecting a custom code to input, use ( + / - ) keys.  
  4. Enter the data code.  For selecting a data code to input, use ( + / -) key  or directly input a data code with [0 to F] keys.
  5. Press the "Transfer" key to transfer the data.
REMOTE CONTROL CODE SETTING (Use the PTU94023Bjig remote control unit)
  1. Set-up the jig remote control unit first.
  2. Replace the memory IC.
  3. Turn ON the power switch. (with TV set; Not with remote control unit).  The TV goes into standby.
  4. Enter the custom code [14] & data code [15] by jig remote control unit.  Enter the 'Transfer' key.  The TV will Power On.
  5. Enter custom code [14] and data code [74].  Then enter the 'Transfer' key for entering the Service Mode.  When entering the Service Mode, "SERVICE" of "SVCv1" will appear at upper left corner.
  6. Enter custom code [14] and data code [22].  Enter the 'Transfer' key.  'REMOCON' menu  (lower right corner) changes from DW to JVC.  So that the remote control code will be set JVC.  If the 'REMOCON' menu sets DW to AIWA, the TV will set other codes.  So it must be set "JVC".
  7. Enter custom code [14] and data code [22] then enter "Transfer" key.  TV power will shut up.  [[ JVC remote control unit will work when finish all the above procedures.  **  When shuts off TV on AIWA status, TV will never work on JVC mode.  In this case it must be exchange the memory IC again.
