WATSON - TW204M SERVICE MODE ADJUSTMENTS MEMORY REPLACEMENT ADJUSTMENTS



EEPROM REPLACEMENT [MEMORY IC - Q002]

  • When Q002 is replaced, all values are reset to "Initial Micro-controller Data", because the pre-set data is reset after replacement, above all, select Factory mode and set the initial data referring to the write-down data.  
  • If all preset data has not been write down, or can't turn ON the TV, re adjust the initial data according to the adjustment manual, follow the below procedure.
  1. Replace the defective Q002 wih a new one.
  2. In stand-by mode, press [Display > Menu > 3 > 8 > Power(ON)] button on the remote control in sequence. 
  3. Factory mode will be displayed on the screen.
  4. Input the signal like a color bar pattern into the antenna terminal, or input the current broadcasting signal into the antenna terminal.
WHEN CRT IS REPLACED
  1. Enter into factory mode as stated above.
  2. Do the Screen Adjustment
  3. Do the White Balance Adjustment.
  4. Do the Picture adjustment.
NB:  No need to select [8]. EEPROM Reset and [9] UOC control.  These two items are critical to the system operation.
Press TV/VIDEO or MTS button to finish the factory adjustments.  [TV/VIDEO] button:  The early state that the TV was bought.  [MTS] button:  The previous state before enter the service mode.

FACTORY ADJUSTMENT MODE
  • In the 'Standby" Mode, the Factory mode can be activated by pressing the [Display > Menu > 3 > 8 > Power (On)] button in sequence by the remote controller.
  • The Factory Mode Menu will be displayed.
The Factory Mode display  components.
  1. Screen.
  2. White Balance.
  3. Picture
  4. Service -1 -No need to adjust.
  5. Volume test - No need to adjust.
  6. Device Check  - No need to adjust.
  7. Option.
  8. EEPROM Reset - No need to adjust.
  9. UOC control  - No need to adjust.
  10. V-Chip test - No need to adjust.
  • Select each item by pressing 'Channel Up | Channel Dn' button, and access it by pressing "Volume ( + ) or Volume ( - ) button.
