SELF DIAGNOSIS DESCRIPTION & TROUBLESHOOTING
[3] Flashes of Standby light. [Lamp Cover Protect]
- The tab at the back of the lamp cover makes contact with the switch on T board when the lamp cover is properly seated, which closes to ground CN8001/pin3. The ground is applied to the DE-micro IC6902/pin94. If the lamp cover is off or not properly seated a high is applied to IC6902/pin94, and the lamp turns off. Confirm that the lamp cover is securely seated. Confirm that CN6022 connector on the G2-board is properly seated.
[4] Flashes. [Fan Rotation Protect]
- Fan rotation is monitored and detected by the DE-micro IC6902/pin 92 (FAN-PROT). If a fan stops rotating IC6902/pin 92 goes high and turns off the lamp
- Check the function of all the 4 fans (One of them is under optical block)
- Fan maybe caught on wire harness or clamp
- Fan itself maybe defective
- Confirm CN6000 on G2-board is properly seated. Also check that the connector is not connected in reverse
- Confirm SET 11V supply for Fans on CN6005 on G2-board
[4] Flashes can also be due to Temperature Protect.
- When the temperature sensor on the H3 board (WE model) or H4 board (WF/XS models) detects high temperature or I2C-E line connector (CN6022:G2 board and CN44:H3/H4board) is not seated securely, De-micro turns off the lamp.
- Evaluate TV environment for proper room temperature
- A possible cause of this failure is missing I2C bus communications
- Confirm I2C bus communications on CN6022/pin3 on the G2-board
- Confirm DC power to the H4 or H3-boards (CN6021)
- Replace H4 or H3 board (sensor is possible defective)
[5] Flashes. [Lamp Driver Protect]
- If the lamp driver fails or if the 260V from the Primary power supply is missing IC6902/pin 95 (LAMP-PROT) goes low, and the lamp will not turned on, along with IC6902/pin 95 (LAMP-HV-DET) in a low state at the same time; it is classified as no high voltage of the lamp driver problem.
- Confirm that the 5 pin connector on the rear of the lamp is securely seated
- Confirm that CN6022 on the G2-board is securely seated
- Confirm 260V lamp supply on CN1605.
[6] Flashes. [Low B Error Protect]
- When DD 6V from the G1-board is not detected IC3604/pin129 (TV-micro) goes low and IC3604 turns off the main power (AC relay turns OFF).
- Confirm G1-board DD6V output on CN6005/pinC3
- Troubleshoot possible power supply problems on the F or G1-boards
- Troubleshoot possible poor connections between [G1>(CN6005)>G2>(CN6019)> B-boards].
[7] Flashes. [Audio Protect]
- When DC voltage is detected at the speaker or woofer outputs, IC3604/pin128 (TV-micro) goes low and IC3604 turns off the main power (AC relay turns OFF).
- Main cause of defective will be located on the KD-board.
- Confirm KD-board is securely seated on the G2-board.
- Replace KD-board.
[8] Flashes. [D-OVP Protect]
- When an over-voltage condition on the +3.3V or +2.5V DC lines is detected, IC3604/pin126 (TV-micro) goes low and it turns off the main power (AC relay turns OFF).
- Substitute A-board, both +3.3V and +2.5V DC regulators are located on the A-board.
[10] Flashes. [ATSC-OVP]
- When Q-Box 5V (DTL5V) is not detected, IC3604/pin127 (TV-micro) goes low and it turns off the main power (AC relay turns OFF).
- Confirm that CN6005 and CN6019 on the G2-board are securely seated.
- Troubleshoot possible power supply problems on the F or G1-boards.
NO Flash. [Lamp Error]
- If the lamp driver fails or if the 260V from the Primary power supply is missing IC6902/pin 95 (LAMP-PROT) goes low (lamp does not turned on), along with IC6902/pin 95 (LAMP-HV-DET) in a high state at the same time; it is classifi ed as no lamp or dead lamp.
- Confirm 260V lamp supply on CN1605
- Substitute Lamp.
