PANEL SERVICE MODE & SIGNAL GENERATOR ACCESS

TO ENTER SERVICE MODE

Press the following keys on the remote commander in the sequence shown in quick sequence:
  • DISPLAY
  • 5
  • Volume +
  • POWER
TV will power up in the TV service mode.


  • Use the JUMP button on the to scroll through the various service modes until the PANEL service mode is displayed.

  • Use the number “2” button to change the upper right item to “15 D9809TPN”
  • Lower Left item will be “0 TPNSW”
  • Use the number “3” button to change the data to “1” (lower center item)
  • Use the number “3” button to scroll through the 10 video signals.

QM SERVICE MODE SIGNAL GENERATOR ACCESS

TO ENTER QM SERVICE MODE
Press the following keys on the remote commander in the sequence shown in quick sequence:
  1. DISPLAY

  3. Volume +
  4. POWER
The TV will Power Up with TV service mode


  • Use the JUMP button on the to scroll through the various service modes until the QM service mode is displayed.
  • Use the number “1” button to change the lower left item to “PATN”
  • Use the number “3” button to change the data item (center right item) and scroll through the numerous signal lists below in 1080i, 480i, 480p, and 720p formats. Some of the signals also have an accompanying audio test tone.
  • 1080i Patterns
  1. Cross-Hatch
  2. Color Bar + Color Ramp
  3. Window
  4. Color Bar
  5. White
  6. White/Blue
  7. Stair Steps
  8. Horizontal Burst
  9. Horizontal Burst (Color)

  • 480i Patterns.  21 to 35 {similar pattern sequence as 1080i patterns}
  • 480p Patterns. 41 to 55 {similar pattern sequence as 1080i patterns}
  • 720p patterns.  61 to 75 { similar pattern sequence as 1080i patterns}
Note:  Some patterns have accompanying 100% audio signal. Set volume before accessing signal generator, because there is no volume control once signal generator is ON.



LAMP & PANEL TIMER DISPLAY

Enter Service Mode
Press the following keys on the remote commander in the sequence shown in quick sequence.
  • DISPLAY
  • 5
  • Volume +
  • POWER
ACCESS LAMP TIMER
  • Press the “JUMP” Key 3 Times and display DE Service Mode
  • Press the “2” Key 9 Times to display the Panel Timer

“LampTM” is the total Lamp operation time.  “LampCT” is the Lamp ON/OFF cycles
  • To reset Lamp Timer press the following keys in sequence: {3 > MUTE > ENTER}
ACCESS PANEL TIMER
  • While displaying the Lamp Timer press the “1” Key 7 times to display the Panel Timer
  • “PanelTM” shows total Panel operation time.
Note:  Panel Timer cannot be reset from the service mode. The only way to set the Panel Timer to zero is to replace the optical assembly.
