DISASSEMBLE PROCEDURE

LAMP DOOR DISASSEMBLE:
  • Loosen the large 'Thumb' screw located at the front of the door.  If the unit is a 52" model, it must be removed form its base in order to the remove the Lamp Door.
  • Behind this door is lamp ass'y and is removable with two screws located at the bottom.  If the door is not closed, the power supply will be disabled and the unit cannot operate.
  • With the lamp door removed, unscrew the 13  screws attaching the back cover and pull it straight back, while guiding the AC cord through the jack panel hole.

  • If it is necessary to access the front jack panel or keyboard ass'y the front control ass'y can be removed by gently pulling it forward.
  • With front panel off these two areas can be accessed.
  • The jack panel can be removed and repaired but a problem other than connections with keyboard requires that the front panel and keyboard be replaced as one ass'y.
  • With back cover off, the two main sections, Light Engine, and Main Chassis of the unit are exposed.
  • Light engine removal begins by removing the brace in the middle of the unit.  Remove 3 screws attaching the brace to the upper and lower parts of the back opening.  Then remove the brace.  Next two screws at the bottom of the light engine must be removed.  A light shield mounted just above the DMD and behind the lens ass'y must be removed from the upper part of the cabinet opening.  This piece must be removed in order fro light engine to  slide out the back of the cabinet.  To remove this, one screw must be removed and the wires held the cable clamps removed.

  • The view at the chassis ass'y and light engine after they are removed.
  • Shows the light engine.
  • Main chassis
  • The upper section of this unit can be separated from the lower section and serviced if necessary.  The upper section contains the mirror ass'y, right and left speaker ass'ys and IR receiver, and of course, the screens.  To remove the upper ass'y from the lower, unplug the cables right and left speakers and IR receiver.  These cables are located just above the light engine and routed through a cable path in the gray light shield around the lens ass'y.
  • After the back cover and front trim with keyboard and front AV jack ass'y have been removed from the unit, 2 screws shown here, just above the rear jack panel can be removed.
  • The upper screen ass'y may be lifted off of the lower unit containing the chassis and light engine.
