SONY TRINITRON KV-27FS320_KV-36FS320_Series TVs _ Service Help



APPLICABLE TO:  KV 27FS320_27FS120_32FS120_32FS320_34FS120_36FS120_36FS320_38FS120 - MODELS.

SELF DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION [Standby/Power LED blinking codes]

  • When an error occurs, the Standby/Timer LED will flash a set number of times to indicate the possible cause of problem.  If there is more than one error, the LED will identify the first of the problem areas.
  • Results for all the following diagnostic items are displayed on the screen.  No error occurred  the screen displays a "0".

# Has entered standby state after horizontal raster. 
# Vertical deflection pulse is stopped.
# Power line is shorted or power supply is stopped.

IK (AKB}

# IC001 is faulty {M board}.  # Screen (G2) is improperly adjusted.
# No raster is generated.
# CRT cathode current detection reference pulse output is small.


 *  If a +B over current is detected, stoppage of vertical deflection is detected simultaneously.  The symptom that is diagnosed first by the microcomputer is displayed on the screen.

Stopping the Standby/Power LED Flash
Turn Off the Power switch on the TV main unit or unplug the power cord from the AC outlet to stop   it from flashing.
