PIONEER X-HM20K - X-HM20S - X-HM10K - X-HM10S - DISASSEMBLY - TO OPEN THE TRAY WHEN POWER CANNOT BE ON - SOFTWARE UPDATE - FIRMWARE VERSION CHECK

DISASSEMBLE PROCEDURE
TOP CABINET.  Remove 4 screws.

iPOD PCB ASSEMBLY [X-HM20 ONLY]

• Disconnect the one flexible cable and one connectors. (J802, J803)
• Remove the two screws.
• Remove the iPOD PCB Assy.

TO OPEN THE TRAY WHEN POWER CANNOT BE ON

RADIO PCB ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

• Remove the five screws
• Disconnect the one flexible cable and one connectors. (J1, J6)
• Remove the RADIO PCB Assy.

MAIN PCB ASSEMBLY, LOADER ASSEMBLY, CD MECHANISM UNIT DISASSEMBLE

Disconnect the two flexible cables and five connectors. (J1, J6, J9, J10, J11, J13, J19)

• Remove the four screws.
• Remove the MAINPCB Assy
• Remove the three screws.
• Remove the LOADER Assy.

SOFTWARE UPDATE

MCU SOFTWARE

• Create a "system" folder in USB device. [Note:"system" folder must be written in lower-case letter.]
• Copy the upgrade file (upgrade_Pioneer_108P.bin) and the text file (upgrade.txt) into the "system" folder in USB device.
• Turn on the main unit and select the USB function.
• Connect the USB device.
• FL will display "Upgrade" - indicating upgrading in process.

Caution: During upgrading process, DO NOT CUT THE AC SUPPLY.

• FL will display "Success" - indicating the upgrading process is completed.
• After FL display "Success", unplug the power cord from the main unit then only remove the USB device from main unit.
• Re-plug in the power cord to the main unit and turn on the main unit. The software upgrade is completed.

CHECK FIRMWARE VERSION

To check the software version

• Press INPUT button to "Line in" function.
• In "Line in" function, short press { >> >>| }once then long press (PLAY/PAUSE) button until the software version is displayed.  Software version display: X-HM20-K/-S à"CD-HM20R Vxxx", X-HM10-K/-S  à "CD-HM10R Vxxx"
