UNIT POWERS ON. NO BUTTON WORKS.
Cause: Ripped flex cable.
Replace the flex cable (P/N
1-791-200-11) and secure the new flex cable so the rotating tray table does not
shear it.
- TRAY DOES NOT EJECTS. DISPLAYS "LOCKED"
Cause: Nothing wrong with the
unit. Tray is locked out in the display unit.
Use a SONY DVD remote to lock or unlock the tray.
LOCK PROCEDURE
- With the unit OFF (red light), press the following buttons on the remote: [1, 4, 1, 1, power].
- The unit will come ON.
- Once a disc is detected, the tray will no longer respond to the eject button.
- The display will show LOCKED each time the eject button is pressed.
- With the unit OFF (red light), press the following buttons on the remote: [1, 4, 1, 0, power].
- The locked display will no longer appear and the tray open button will work normally.
