CAUTION
- DO NOT DISCONNECT THE POWER CORD FROM THE AC POWER SOURCE DURING THE SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCESS. IF YOU DO, THE SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCESS CAN STOP. IF THE SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCESS STOPS BEFORE THE SOFTWARE UPDATE IS COMPLETE, THE BDP9000 BLU-RAY DISC PLAYER. CAN BE DAMAGED.
- IF AN OUTAGE OCCURS DURING THE SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCESS, THE SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCESS CAN STOP. IF THE SOFTWARE PROCESSS STOPS BEFORE THE SOFTWARE UPDATE IS COMPLETE, THE BDP9000 BLU-RAY DISC PLAYER CAN BE DAMAGED.
- DO NOT OPEN THE DISC TRAY DURING THE SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCESS. IF YOU DO, THE SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCESS CAN STOP. IF THE SOFTWARE PROCESSS STOPS BEFORE THE SOFTWARE UPDATE IS COMPLETE, THE BDP9000 BLU-RAY DISC PLAYER CAN BE DAMAGED.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE UPDATE DISC IS CLEAN. DIRT AND SCRATCHES CAN STOP THE SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCESS. IF THE SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCESS STOPS BEFORE THE SOFTWARE UPDATE IS COMPLETE, THE BDP9000 BLU-RAY DISC CAN BE DAMAGED.
UPDATE
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button. The disc tray opens.
- Put the update disc in the disc tray with the label on top.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again. The disc tray closes.
- Wait until the screen shows the following text (1 -2 minutes): Do you want to update Main F/W?
- On the remote control, press the OK button. The actual software update starts.
- Wait until the screen shows the following text (5 - 6 minutes): Main F/W is successfully updated.
- Remove the update disc from the disc tray.
- Press the STANDBY-ON button. The STANDBY-ON light comes on as red.
- Press the STANDBY-ON button again. The STANDBY-ON light comes on as blue and the disc tray closes.
- Check new and old version (numbers).
- Repeat the steps 1-10 to update the DVD firmware (Sub F/W).
- Repeat the steps 1-10 to update the ODD firmware (Loader F/W).
