EMERSON EWFG2705 _ SERVICE MODE & ADJUSTMENTS

TO ENTER SERVICE MODE

• Prepare a service remote control out of normal remote control unit. (Part No.NE601UD)
• Remove 3 Screws from the back lid.
• Add J1 (Jumper Wire) to the remote control CBA.

• Use the service remote control unit.
• Turn the power on. (Use main power on the TV unit.)
• Press [SLEEP] button on the service remote control unit. Version of microcomputer will display on the CRT. (M02-0.43 N2 0A)
• Check the display on the lower left is “02” and if it is not “02” set it at “02”.

INITIAL SETTING

• Enter the Service mode [descried above]
• Press [VOL Dn] button on the service remote control unit. Display changes “C/D”, “7F”, “VIDEO”, “AV MEMO”, “STABLE SOUND”, “300”, “YUV MEMORY”, and “NO SIG BRT” cyclically when [VOL Dn] button is pressed.
• To set the following each data value, press [CH Up | Dn] buttons on the service remote control unit.

7F---Set to “FF”.

VIDEO---Set to “V1/V2/YUV”.

AV MEMO---Set to “OFF”.

STABLE SOUND---Set to “OFF”.

7E DATA---Set to “300”.

YUV MEMORY---Set to “OFF”.

NO SIG BRT---Set to “0”.

Setting for BRIGHT, CONTRAST, COLOR, S-COLOR, COMPONENT COLOR, TINT, V-TINT, S-TINT, COMPONENT TINT, SHARP, S-SHARP, and COMPONENT SHARP Data Values:

• Contrast adjustment.

1. Enter the Service mode.
2. Press [MENU] button on the service remote control unit. Display changes “BRT,” “CNT,” “CLR,” “S-CLR,” “C-CLR,” “TNT,” “V-TNT,” “S-TNT,” “CTNT,” “SHARP,” “S-SRP,” and “C-SRP” cyclically when [MENU] button is pressed.
3. Press [MENU] button on the service remote control unit. Then select “CONTRAST” (CNT) display.
4. Press [CH Up | Dn] buttons on the service remote control unit so that the value of “CONTRAST” (CNT) becomes 73.

Follow the above procedure to change the data value to all other items, after selecting each item as described above.  Data value to be set to each item is given.

CONTRAST = 73

COLOR = 87

SUB-COLOR = 87

C-COLOR [COMPONENT COLOR] = 73

TINT = 57

V-TINT = 56

S-TINT = 55

C-TINT = 64

SHARP = 42

S-SRP = 40

C-SRP = 45

• Note: BRIGHT data value does not need to be adjusted at this moment.

SD CHECK MODE

• Enter the Service mode.
• Press [1] button on the remote control unit. The unit enter the SD-Check mode.
• The unit starts selecting the added channel from first channel according to the memorized CH ADD/DELL data and CATV/TV data in RAM.
