7 BLINKS OF STANDBY LIGHT.

Trouble Mode:  SC energy Recovery SOS.
Defective boards (possibility): SC, SS, D, P.
  • Disconnect connectors SC2, and SC20 from the SC board.  Turn the TV on.  Does the TV power up and stay on?  If yes; 'SC' board is faulty.  If No: 
  • Connect 'SC2' and 'SC20'.  Disconnect 'CN P12' from the 'P' board and 'SS11', 'SS34' and 'SS23' from the SS board.  Place the jumper from SS34 between pins '8'&'10' of P`12.  Turn ON the TV.  Does the TV power up and stay ON?  If yes; 'SS' board is faulty. 
  • If No; Connect CN P12, SS11, SS34 & SS23.  Remove 'A' board block assembly to gain access to the 'D' & 'C' boards.  Have to remove four fixing screws and '7' connectors. [Ground the base of Q302 on the 'D' board and turn the power ON.
  • Does the TV stay ON? If yes; reseat the ribbon cables between 'D' & 'C' boards.  Also reseat the cables between 'C' boards.
  • If No; Does the 'P' board outputs 15V at pin '7' of 'P7' and Vsus at pin '1' of 'P2' before the TV shuts down?  If yes, 'D' board is faulty.
  • If No; 'P' board is faulty. 
VSUS about 180V.  Before connecting P2 or P11, discharge is necessary to prevent shock caused by VSUS.
Place the jumper across pin '8' & '10' of connector 'P12'.  The unit will not enter the standby mode without the jumper.
