PANASONIC - TH-42PX75U - TH-50PX75U - STANDBY LED BLINKS 7 TIMES AT START UP - NO SWITCH ON]


APPLICABLE TO - PANASONIC - TH-42PX75U - TH-50PX75U - TH42PX77U -TH-50PX77U

Trouble Mode:  Sc floating voltages SOS.
Defective boards [suspected]:  SC, SU, SD, P board.

Make sure that the connectors P2/SC2, SC20/D20 are sealed properly; no loose connections.
  • Disconnect the connectors SC2, and SC20 from SC board.  Turn ON the TV.  Does the TV power up and stay ON?  
  • If yes; Connect the connectors SC2 and SC20 to the SC board.  Remove the SU board.  Turn the TV On.  Does the TV power up and stay On? If yes, SU board is faulty.
  • If No; install the SU board and remove the SD board.  Turn the TV On.  Does it power up, and stay On?  
  • If yes; SD board is faulty.  
  • If No; SC board is faulty.  If the SC board does not fix the problem, replace 'D' board too.
  • Turn on to the first step above.  If No
  • Turn the TV On.  Measure the voltage at pin number '1' of 'CN P25' on P board.  Does 15V appear there before the unit suts down?  
  • If No; replace P board. 
  • If yes; Turn the TV On.  Does VSUS voltage appear at pin number'1' of CN P2 of the 'P' board before shut down?  
  • If yes; replace 'SS' board.
  • If No; replace 'P' board.
Vsus is about 180V.  Accurate voltage is provided on the panel label.  
Before connecting P2/SC2 or P11/S11, discharge is necessary to prevent potential shock caused by Vsus volt.
